As a seasoned journalist with a knack for uncovering truths, I can’t help but feel a sense of dismay when witnessing the tumultuous world of Hollywood. The Blake Lively saga, with its twists and turns, has been nothing short of captivating, leaving me both appalled and intrigued.
Journalist Kjersti Flaa publicly criticized Blake Lively for being uncooperative and behaving in a manner that was difficult to work with during an interview, which she later posted on her personal YouTube channel under the title “The interview with Blake Lively that made me consider quitting my job.” The video quickly gained traction online.
A longstanding feud between Flaa and a former Gossip Girl cast member resurfaced recently due to the actress’s lawsuit against her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, who she accused of sexual harassment and launching a defamatory online campaign.
Even though there seems to be tension between the reporter and Lively, Flaa publicly declared last Saturday, December 21, on Threads that she was not involved in any campaign to harm Lively’s reputation. In her video, she stated emphatically, “I have no connection to it. I would never participate in such activities. That allegation is an affront to me.
The journalist asserted that she shared the video only to demonstrate Lively’s conduct during the interview, with no further intentions. However, she was taken aback and dismayed upon learning about the explosive allegations the actress made against Baldoni in her lawsuit.
As a devoted supporter, I’d like to clarify that, just like Gina Rodriguez, I too shared a detailed video on YouTube, explaining my non-involvement in the alleged smear campaign plans surrounding the actor from Jane The Virgin. I made it clear that the fact I re-shared the somewhat “uncomfortable” interview at around the same time as It Ends With Us was released was purely a coincidence.
She shared the video after watching the movie, and expressed her dislike for it. Previously, she had a negative encounter with Blake Lively, which made her feel somewhat disillusioned with Hollywood. Consequently, she no longer feared being cancelled, so she chose to publish the video.
On Friday, December 20, the actress who played Green Lantern filed a lawsuit claiming an inappropriate “hands-on” meeting (allegedly involving Ryan Reynolds) took place to address misconduct by Baldoni on the set of the film based on Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel.
The complaint claimed that Baldoni allegedly showed the actress nude pictures of women, opened up about his history of porn addiction, and discussed the cast and crew’s genitalia. However, the Five Feet Apart director’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, denied the claim.
According to the report in Page Six, the lawyer asserted that it was regrettable for Ms. Lively and her associates to spread such grave and untrue accusations. He also described these claims as “completely false, excessively scandalous, and deliberately sensational” to perpetuate a familiar media narrative.
