Vin Diesel announced on social media that Cristiano Ronaldo, the famous soccer player, will be in the next Fast & Furious film.
The new movie will be the twelfth installment in the popular Fast & Furious action series. Throughout the years, the franchise has included a lot of well-known actors and personalities, including WWE stars like Dwayne Johnson and John Cena, as well as musicians such as Cardi B and Ludacris.
Bringing Cristiano Ronaldo on board changes things up significantly. He’s not just a hugely successful soccer player; he’s also a global icon with over a billion followers on social media.
The latest film keeps with the series’ tradition of blending sports action, popular music, and appearances by famous actors. For Cristiano Ronaldo, this small role is just another way he’s expanding his presence beyond the world of soccer, following a career already packed with championships, achievements, and worldwide recognition.

It hasn’t always been certain what’s next for the Fast & Furious movies. After “Fast X” came out, Vin Diesel mentioned the studio was thinking about making two more films, but that depended on how well the movie did. Then, rumors started that the next main movie might be the last one. The plans kept shifting, and the release date was pushed back several times. There were even moments when it wasn’t clear if the movie would be made at all, because of worries about the budget.
Vin Diesel recently announced that the problems with the film series have been worked out. He says production is back on track, and the next movie will go back to the basics – focusing on street racing. They’ve temporarily put any spin-off ideas on hold to concentrate on completing the main storyline.
