As a seasoned gamer and die-hard fan of science fiction, I can confidently say that the Chronicles of Riddick series has been an unparalleled journey through the cosmos. Over the years, I’ve seen my share of sci-fi franchises come and go, but none have managed to captivate me quite like this one.
Pondering over it, you’ll find that The Chronicles of Riddick is an exceptionally captivating science fiction saga. This trilogy (yes, it’s indeed a trilogy!) has garnered a devoted fan base and significantly contributed to its leading actor, Vin Diesel, becoming a recognized action star. Yet, it didn’t quite achieve mainstream success, but over time, it has evolved into a cult favorite.
The tales of the antihero from the 28th century, known as Riddick, serve as the core of this series, created by brothers Ken and Jim Wheat. Since its initial release in 2000, there have been three feature-length films and one animated short added to the collection. Despite speculation that the franchise had ended, we’re about to revisit the realm of Riddick once more.
Hey there fellow gamers! I hope you haven’t forgotten our previous chatter about the upcoming fourth installment in the Riddick franchise, titled Riddick: Furya. Well, guess what? We’ve got some fresh news and sneak peeks for you! Exciting, right? And here’s the best part – a new set photo from this movie has just been unveiled, so let’s dive in to take a look!
Previously mentioned, the upcoming movie titled “Riddick: Furya” is set as the fourth part of the series. The initial film, “Pitch Black“, made its debut in 2000 and swiftly gained a devoted fanbase, transforming into a cult classic. Afterward, we saw two more movies in this series: “Riddick” (released in 2013) and “The Chronicles of Riddick” (2004). Moreover, Vin Diesel provided the voice for the character Riddick in the 2004 animated short film “The Chronicles of Riddick: Dark Fury“.
After the release of the animated movie, it’s been announced that David Thowy is now in charge of the franchise previously managed by the Wheat Brothers. He will be back to pen and direct “Riddick: Furya”. Previously, Thowy shared some insights about the upcoming project.
For years now, our legion of fans have been asking for it, and we’re thrilled to answer their call with the release of “Riddick: Furya”. Over the past two decades, I’ve worked closely with Vin Diesel and One Race, resulting in three movies, two video games, an anime series, and internet-based motion comics. In this latest cinematic adventure, we delve into Riddick’s origins as we return to his homeworld.

After making that statement, it wasn’t too long before we received the initial image of Riddick. Now, Vin Diesel has taken to Instagram to post a fresh snapshot of his character.

This image is stunning beyond belief! If the quality of the entire “Furya” film is anything like this, we can’t wait to see it, as we expect it could be the greatest one yet – something we’re really looking forward to.
