(VIDEO) New Deleted Clip from ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Featuring Gambit Suggests He Returned to His Universe

As a longtime fan who’s witnessed the evolution of X-Men characters since the 90s animated series, I must say that the latest Deadpool & Wolverine movie has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride! The anticipation for this film was through the roof and the inclusion of Gambit, played by Channing Tatum, only added fuel to the fire.

The action-packed duo of Deadpool & Wolverine, currently gracing cinema screens, is widely seen as this year’s most eagerly awaited film by many enthusiasts. With the movie’s multiverse setting and the high level of anticipation among fans for its premiere, it was almost certain that there would be a plethora of hidden references (Easter Eggs) and surprise appearances from familiar faces.

Up until now, we’ve delved into many Easter Eggs and cameos, exploring and disclosing intricate details about these instances and characters. However, one character has consistently piqued fan curiosity since his introduction, and that is none other than the charismatic Gambit, portrayed by the talented Channing Tatum in the film, a milestone for all enthusiasts alike.

It’s worth mentioning that despite Tatum initially being cast for a solo Gambit film that was eventually canceled, he later got to portray the character in both Deadpool & Wolverine. Although speculation about Gambit’s future is ongoing online, a previously unseen scene from the movie has recently emerged, and it appears to shed light on Gambit’s destiny!

Cosmic Marvel shared a video on their Twitter account (formerly X), and you can watch it by clicking this link. The video doesn’t reveal much – the fight in Nova’s headquarters has ended, Gambit is still alive, and he’s walking among the bodies of his foes. After that, he unexpectedly turns to face the camera. Then, an orange glow, similar to one that appears when a portal to another dimension opens, illuminates his face, and he gives a smirk as he gazes at it.

In the movie’s finale, Deadpool requested the Time Variance Authority (TVA) to look after his companions – Elektra, Blade, Gambit, and X-23. The TVA suggested they would try their best to help, hinting that they wouldn’t just leave them in limbo (the Void). Although this scene doesn’t provide an official confirmation, it suggests that the TVA kept their word and possibly brought Gambit back to his original universe.

Additionally, it implies that the other three characters also went back to their own realms, a development that would be delightful. However, we suspect it’s something we’ll need to hear confirmed officially from the source.

Concerning Gambit, there’s just one hitch: he appears to lack his own independent universe. Prior to this film, Channing Tatum hadn’t portrayed the character, and the movie itself underscores that Gambit doesn’t have a unique storyline or universe of his own. This implies we’re unsure where exactly he ended up. He seems to be smirking in anticipation of learning more about his origins, should there be another film featuring him. However, it could either introduce a completely new universe (which seems improbable) or insert him into an existing one, but we’re clueless about which one.
