In ‘Queer,’ helmed by Luca Guadagnino, I found myself immersed in a bold and aesthetically captivating interpretation of William S. Burroughs’ novel. I, as the character William Lee, portrayed by Daniel Craig, am a fictionalized depiction of the author himself. As an American expatriate meandering through Mexico, my days are filled with aimless drifting from one bar to another, yearning for romantic and sexual connections with men.
In the movie, Apollo makes an early appearance as the man whom Lee encounters at a bar. Their passionate, albeit short-lived, scenes reach a climax with an unabashed, attention-grabbing scene featuring full frontal nudity. This daring moment has sparked interest among both fans and critics.
Towards the latter part of the film, attention turns to Lee’s fixation on Eugene Allerton, portrayed by Drew Starkey. These two characters embark on a romantic relationship and venture further into the dense South American wilderness in search of a mind-bending drug said to grant telepathic abilities.
To celebrate the home release of the movie, Omar Apollo posted an intriguing picture from his scene with Daniel Craig on Instagram. In this photo, an bare-chested Craig is seen sitting on a bed, looking surprised as a approaching Apollo, who happens to be nude in the image. To maintain Instagram’s safety standards, Apollo comically concealed his private parts using a tongue-out emoji.
In my opinion, this post exudes a delightfully humorous tone, as the author penned: “Now streaming for those who didn’t fancy a theater trip – ‘Queer’ is here!” The wink-wink emoji adds a touch of playfulness to the message.

Previously, Apollo shared details with Out magazine on the preparation process for his intimate scene with Craig.
In an earlier conversation with Out magazine, Apollo discussed the preparations leading to his personal scene with Craig.
Apollo responded with obvious enthusiasm, saying, “I received the call and they shared details about the scene, emphasizing its explicit nature. Without hesitation, I agreed. I simply replied, ‘Absolutely, definitely.’ It’s Daniel Craig we’re talking about! Of course I’m ready for it!
Even though there’s a level of exposure and vulnerability in shooting nude scenes, Apollo admitted he felt at ease: “I didn’t feel particularly afraid or anything. I was more like, ‘It’s just part of my life. It’s not something unusual for me.’
