
Valerie Perrine, best known for playing Eve Teschmacher in the original Superman films directed by Richard Donner, has passed away at the age of 82.
Sources confirmed that actress Shelley Perrine passed away on Monday. She had been living with Parkinson’s disease since her diagnosis in 2015.

After learning about Valerie Perrine’s passing, Superman director James Gunn shared a heartfelt message online, remembering her as the first Eve Teschmacher.
It was really touching to see everyone remembering Jack Perrine. As a big Superman fan, I always appreciated his work playing the guard opposite Gene Hackman’s Lex Luthor in those classic Christopher Reeve movies. Sampaio shared her condolences on Instagram, expressing sadness over the passing of Valerie Perrine, who originally played Eve. She called Perrine an inspiration and an icon, and wished her peace.

Valerie Perrine has passed away after a lengthy struggle with Parkinson’s disease. An Instagram post from her official account highlighted her bravery, kindness, and positive attitude throughout her illness. The post also requested donations to a GoFundMe campaign to help cover funeral costs and fulfill her wish to be buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
