Valentine’s Slasher Horror ‘Heart Eyes’ Reveals New Trailer

On Valentine’s Day next year, the movie “Heart Eyes” will be released, turning love into a deadly affair. This chilling story is brought to you by the creative teams responsible for “Freaky”, “Happy Death Day”, and “Werewolves Within”. The film premieres in theaters on February 7, 2025.

The new trailer has just been released (check it out below), giving us a glimpse into the gruesome demises that lie ahead. It’s obvious – we’re in for an exceptionally bloody Valentine’s Day this year!

The resurgence of horror movies centered around holidays, fueled by the achievements of the Scream and Halloween franchises, continues to thrive. A new film titled Heart Eyes is following suit, reminiscent of Eli Roth’s 2023 production Thanksgiving. Further holiday-themed terrors like Silent Night, Deadly Night are expected later this year as well, thanks to the collaboration between Bloody Disgusting and Cineverse.

Under the guidance of director Josh Ruben, known for ‘Werewolves Within’ and ‘Scare Me’, the upcoming movie ‘Heart Eyes’ features Mason Gooding (from ‘Scream’) and Olivia Holt (starring in ‘Cruel Summer’). This film carries an R rating due to its content, which includes intense violence and gore, strong language, and some explicit sexual scenes.

The plot centers on a villain known as the Heart Eyes Killer, who is responsible for spreading fear and violence on Valentine’s Day. This time around, no romantic duo will be able to avoid the bloodshed. In addition to the main character, the movie includes Gigi Zumbado (from “The Real Bros of Simi Valley”), Michaela Watkins (“Dinner with the Parents”), Devon Sawa (“Final Destination,” “Chucky”), and Jordana Brewster (“The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning”) in its star-studded cast.

The film titled “Heart Eyes” hails from Screen Gems and Spyglass, with a screenplay written by Philip Murphy (known for “The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard”) and the team of Christopher Landon (“Happy Death Day,” “Freaky”) and Michael Kennedy (“Freaky”).

In the film “M3gan” and “Totally Killer”, Christopher Landon, Greg Gilreath, and Adam Hendricks serve as the producers. Meanwhile, Gary Barber and Chris Stone from Spyglass oversee the project in executive production roles, along with Mel Turner, Philip Murphy, and Michael Kennedy.
