As a die-hard fan, I’m always thrilled to learn more about the life of the Hey Daddy singer. He’s got a beautiful family, you know! He has four kids in total. His ex-wife, Tameka Foster, and he share two sons, Usher ‘Cinco’ V and Naviyd Ely. With his current wife, Jenn Goicoechea, he is blessed with a daughter, Sovereign Bo, and a son, Sire Castrello. It’s amazing to see the love he has for his family!

Back in a 2008 Essence interview, the artist who would later perform at the 2024 Super Bowl Halftime show shared thoughts about his father’s treatment towards him – unsure if he was accepted, valued, or loved. Usher ‘Cinco’ Raymond V, 16

Usher’s eldest son, Usher Raymond V, was born on November 27, 2007, to him and his former spouse, Tameka Foster. Before the arrival of their first child, the musician shared that he yearned for his son to be healthy and clear-minded.

In 2008, Usher and his son, Usher V, graced the cover of Essence magazine. During this interview, Usher emphasized the importance of being available for his son in every way. He stated, “It’s crucial not to abandon that duty—the role is to be present, sharing books with your child, fostering their development.” He also expressed a desire for all parents to put their children’s needs ahead of their own vanity.

At the age of five, Usher V almost drowned when his arm became trapped in a pool drain while attempting to retrieve a toy. This incident, which occurred over a decade ago, was among the most challenging days of his life, as he later shared with People magazine. Regarding Usher’s commitment to his children, it appears that he is making a strong effort to keep his promise of being consistently present in their lives.

Naviyd Ely, 15

On December 10, 2008, Naviyd Ely, their second son, joined Usher and Foster’s family. This happened only six months before Usher initiated divorce proceedings. The divorce became official in November 2009, with Usher being awarded full custody of both sons.

At the 2011 premiere of Justin Bieber’s documentary “Never Say Never,” a family of three presented a harmonious appearance. It was Usher who acted as a guide for the young Justin Bieber as he entered the music world for the first time.

2016 marked a year when Usher, having finished filming the movie “Hands of Stone”, decided to devote time to his kids. During an interview with People, he shared the special moments he spent with his two boys, who were then aged 8 and 7, in Italy. As a family, they took a thrilling hot air balloon ride, and Usher looked forward to creating more such cherished memories together with his children.

In that very same year, Usher V and Naviyd accompanied their dad at his Hollywood Walk of Fame event and struck poses with him on the red carpet.

Not long ago, teenage sons accompanied their father to the 2024 BET Awards, where he received his lifetime achievement award. Sovereign Bo, 4

Back in the whirlwind of September 2020, I found myself utterly captivated by the arrival of a tiny miracle, Sovereign. This little one, born ahead of schedule, is none other than Usher’s first child, shared with his beloved partner, Goicoechea. A moment that continues to fill my heart with joy and admiration.

Overjoyed and brimming with affection, we’ve welcomed our charming little girl, Sovereign Bo Raymond, into the world,” Usher expressed on Instagram, sharing a picture of his daughter’s tiny hand. “Stevie Wonder’s ‘Isn’t She Lovely’ is playing non-stop for us now.

Reflecting warmly on my cherished daughter during an interview with Extra last May, I shared the profound meaning behind her unique name.

“Sovereign, man, is such a beautiful word and name to me—you know, a supreme ruler is obviously the defined name,” he explained. “She’s definitely ruling the household, but Sovereign Bo—Bo is at the end of it, so [she’s] my little ‘reign-bo.’”

Last July 2021, Usher shared with Good Morning America that transitioning into fatherhood of a daughter has significantly altered his lifestyle, such as incorporating more pink hues into his personal style.

Sire Castrello, 3

Sire Castrello was born to Goicoechea and Usher in 2021.

The father of four announced his youngest son’s arrival on Instagram a month after his birth, calling him the “newest addition to the Raymond crew.”

In an interview with People, Usher described his unique bond with him as exceptional compared to his other children. He mentioned that he’s figured out a way to communicate with him using secret codes. ‘My newest child,’ he said, ‘he’s truly extraordinary.’

In the month of September 2024, Usher arranged a Cars-themed bash as a celebration for Sire’s third birthday. He then posted pictures from the event on Instagram.
