A young Boba Fett, filled with anger over Jango’s death at the hands of Jedi Master Mace Windu, joined a band of bounty hunters that included Aurra Sing and Bossk. Post-Galactic Empire collapse, Djarin established a formidable reputation within the Bounty Hunters’ Guild, tracking down their targets across the Outer Rim Territories in his personal starship, the “Razor Crest”, keeping a safe distance from New Republic jurisdiction.

Approximately 9 After Battle Year (ABY), Djarin found employment on Nevarro with a client from an Imperial leftover group, who promised him a generous compensation for retrieving a valuable item on Arvala-7. On his journey to Arvala-7, he came across an Ugnaught named Kuiil, who led him to the item’s location. During their trip, Djarin ran into a bounty hunter droid called IG-11, and they both infiltrated the fortified compound where the item was kept. This compound was under the protection of mercenaries.

Upon examining the individual, they found it to be a youngster with a natural affinity for the Force, resembling Jedi Grand Master Yoda’s species. Mandalorian Djarin, tasked with delivering this Child unharmed, intervened by shooting IG-11, who intended to harm the Child. Thus, he protected the child and took custody of him.

4. IG-11

Debut: The Mandalorian

Moving forward on our list of Star Wars bounty hunters is the IG-11 droid. This particular IG-series model was a professional bounty hunter around 9 ABY. As part of a line of assassin droids terrorizing the galaxy, IG-11 adhered to Bounty Hunters’ Guild regulations and carried destructive devices within him to evade capture during assignments.

The robot was sleekly designed on a tough framework capable of withstanding multiple assaults and proving dependable and long-lasting. It lacked subtlety, unaware of sarcasm, and couldn’t deceive, giving it an almost innocent demeanor. Frequently mistaken for IG-88, the renowned bounty hunter droid, it was this robot that tracked down the soldiers who had slain Kuiil and abducted the young one. Upon finding them, these two scout troopers had halted and were awaiting permission to retrace their steps back to the city and deliver the child.

While continuously mocking and mistreating the boy, a droid identified itself as the Child’s caretaker robot and asked them to cease their behavior. Perplexed, the two Imperial soldiers laughed and ordered the peculiar IG droid to depart. The droid retaliated by breaking one soldier’s arm and flipping him over before hoisting another by his helmet and violently slamming him onto his 74-Z speeder bike. With the baby safely aboard, IG-11 mounted the other speeder bike and journeyed towards the city to save Djarin and his allies.

5. Bossk’wassak’Cradossk

As a devoted cinephile, I can’t help but marvel at the enigmatic character of Bossk’wassak’Cradossk, more commonly known as Bossk – a Trandoshan bounty hunter, offspring of the legendary Wookiee-hunter, Cradossk. During the tumultuous era of the Clone Wars, I found myself captivated by the alliance between Bossk and his fellow bounty hunters, Aurra Sing and Castas, mentoring the young orphan Boba Fett. The thrilling plot twist came when Bossk, driven by a deep-seated animosity, concocted a scheme to eliminate Jedi Master Mace Windu. However, this ill-advised move led to the apprehension of both Fett and myself, Bossk.

Following his short spell behind bars, Bossk joined Krayt’s Claw – a gang led by Boba Fett that specialized in hunting bounties. His clients included Otua Blank and Asajj Ventress. With the rise of the Galactic Empire, Bossk journeyed to the Outer Rim planet Lothal with the aim of capturing Gronson Takkaro, a Dug criminal who had a price on his head in the Ahakista system.

On his way to Lothal, Bossk joined forces with Ezra Bridger, a Force-sensitive orphan, in an attempt to thwart Lieutenant Jenkes of the Imperial Security Bureau who was corrupt. After the Battle of Hoth in the year 3 ABY, Bossk was among six bounty hunters employed by Darth Vader to catch Han Solo. However, he didn’t receive his reward from him because Boba Fett, an old associate, managed to capture Han Solo first. This left Bossk feeling frustrated and resentful over Fett’s success, which he expressed at the Burnin Konn Carbon Score Cantina.

Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra and her companion Krrsantan, a black creature, confronted him. Krrsantan teased the Trandoshan, which provoked Bossk to fight with Krrsantan. Later, Aphra revealed that Nakano Lash had reappeared and a bounty was on his head, piquing Bossk’s curiosity. In 4 ABY, Bossk crossed paths with Boba Fett at Jabba’s Palace. 6. Aurra Sing

Aurra Sing is a female bounty hunter hailing from Palliduvan, active both prior to and throughout the Clone Wars era. In the year 32 BBY, she found herself on Tatooine, attending the Boonta Eve Classic pod race amidst the Trade Federation’s invasion of Naboo. It was during this time that she had her first encounter with the pirate captain, Hondo Ohnaka.

After the Clone Wars started and Jango Fett, a bounty hunter, was killed, Sing trained his son, Boba Fett. Together they made an attempt to kill Jedi Master Mace Windu, who had slain Jango on Geonosis. Subsequently, Sing and Boba went their separate ways. Later, Sing began working for Ziro the Hutt and Cad Bane. Prior to the year 10 BBY, Tobias Beckett took a job from Crimson Dawn’s leader, Dryden Vos, which led to Sing’s demise.

Vos felt satisfaction upon Sing’s demise, which led him to increase Beckett’s compensation. Later, under the Galactic Empire, Beckett mentioned Sing’s death in conversation with Lando Calrissian. However, Beckett asserted that he merely shoved Sing, and it was the fall she took afterwards that ultimately caused her death.

7. Castas

Debut: Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Afterward on our list of Star Wars bounty hunters comes Castas. A Klatooinian by birth, Castas made a living as a bounty hunter during the Clone Wars. In the year 21 Before the Battle of Yavin (BBY), he was employed by the assassin Aurra Sing to eliminate Jedi Master Mace Windu. The objective of Sing’s crew, which additionally included the mercenary Bossk, was to avenge young Boba Fett’s thirst for vengeance against Windu, as he had killed his “father figure”, Jango Fett.

In the process, they captured Admiral Shoan Kilian, Commander CC-0411, also known as “Ponds”, a clone officer, after eliminating several clone troopers. Later on, Master Mace Windu and Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker visited Vanqor in search of the crash survivors. However, Sing had laid a trap involving a Mandalorian helmet, and when the bridge of the cruiser caved in, she, Castas, and Fett checked the debris to ensure that the Jedi were no longer alive.

Following my astromech droid, R2-D2, setting off defensive systems to block bounty hunters from breaching our cruiser, Bossk gave them a heads up: One of the Jedi starfighters was launching and fleeing the planet. With that information, Castas and the rest jumped aboard Fett’s ship, Slave I, and blasted away at the departing Jedi vessel. However, R2-D2’s spacecraft, equipped with a hyperspace anchor ring, managed to elude them by jumping to lightspeed.

Following this, Skywalker and Windu were saved by Republic soldiers, and Sing transmitted a hologram to the Jedi Temple on Coruscant, warning Windu that if he didn’t comply, she would kill the hostages in his possession. Despite the operation running smoothly, Castas grew uneasy and decided to withdraw from the scheme.

Aurra Sing halted the vessel at Florrum, prompting Castas to reach out to his acquaintance on Coruscant, Fong Do, sharing that he held crucial data for the Republic. Unfortunately, Sing overheard their conversation and, after ordering him to reverse course, she ended Castas’ life with a blaster gunshot instead.

8. Cad Bane

Debut: Star Wars: The Clone Wars

Cad Bane, hailing from the planet Duro, was renowned as a skilled and ruthless bounty hunter mercenary during the Clone Wars. He gained notoriety for being both effective and dangerous in his line of work. Despite serving various clients, his allegiance often leaned towards whoever offered the most reward. Equipped with an array of weapons and allies, Bane consistently secured his payments and emerged as a significant figure within the bounty hunting community following Jango Fett’s demise at the beginning of the conflict.

Through his notable standing, he caught the notice of Count Dooku and even the Supreme Sith Lord, Darth Sidious. Working under Sidious’ command, Bane orchestrated the theft of a Jedi artifact known as a holocron from the Jedi Temple. The holocron contained a directory of all Force-sensitive children across the galaxy.

Later, he managed to secure a kyber memory crystal from Jedi Master Bolla Ropal on Devaron and compelled Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker to unlock the holocron. With the holocron in hand, Bane was given orders to abduct four children listed within.

However, his plan was thwarted by Skywalker and his apprentice, Ahsoka Tano. Though Bane successfully eluded capture from Masters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Mace Windu by luring them into a trap at his hideout, Black Stall Station, they ultimately managed to track him down.

Later on, Bane found employment with crime lord Jabba the Hutt and the Hutt Grand Council, who wanted him to rescue their relative, Ziro the Hutt, from a prison on Coruscant. To accomplish this task, he gathered a group of bounty hunters. The team then launched an assault on the Republic Executive Building, taking ten high-ranking members of the Galactic Senate hostage. With these hostages in hand, Bane demanded that Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine free Ziro from prison.

After successfully freeing Ziro, Bane presented him before the Hutt Council. However, when Ziro slipped away while in Bane’s care on Nal Hutta, Bane was asked to locate the fugitive once more. Rumi Paramita, a female bounty hunter of Frenk origin, took on assignments during the Clone Wars. As a die-hard Star Wars fan, let me tell you about a character I’ve always found intriguing – Greedo, a Rodian bounty hunter with roots on Tatooine, specifically Mos Espa. During the tumultuous Clone Wars, he was tasked by the Trade Federation to abduct Chi Eekway Papanoida and Che Amanwe Papanoida, the president’s daughters. However, instead of following orders, Greedo manipulated the situation, making them bring him and his son along with the kidnapped girls. Later in life, he found employment under the notorious crime lord Jabba the Hutt, taking on numerous mercenary jobs, one of which was capturing Han Solo – the one who ended up taking Greedo’s life in a tragic turn of events.

In the midst of the Clone Wars, a duo consisting of Greedo, acting for Neimoidian Sib Canay, and another criminal, seized the two daughters of Pantoran Baron N. Papanoida, Chi Eekway and Che Amanwe. Their objective was to persuade Pantora to break away from the Republic and ally with the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Injured during the kidnapping, Greedo’s blood trail led the Baron and his son to find him on Tatooine.

Upon my futile attempts to eliminate the Baron, his son, and Greedo, I found myself cornered by Jabba. In this predicament, I was compelled to disclose the location of Che Amanwe on Tatooine, a captive in Mos Eisley’s local tavern. Upon arrival, Greedo attempted another assassination of the Pantorans, but his efforts were once more thwarted. The subsequent gunfight between the Pantoran and his companion ended with Greedo slipping away unscathed.

Following the conclusion of the Clone Wars, Greedo was employed once more by Jabba, this time to collaborate with a Nikto named Takvaa for an abduction mission. Their target was a cybernetically-upgraded givin from the Mygeeto Empire. During their operation, they came across Anolo, a high-ranking member of the Intergalactic Banking Clan, along with his associates. In the ensuing encounter, Greedo and Takvaa managed to subdue Anolo and his crew. Tragically, Takvaa met his end in the fierce fight, while Greedo emerged victorious.

When backup arrived, Greedo attempted to abduct the Givin using a grappling hook, but the line snapped, causing the Givin to plummet to his demise. To avoid returning empty-handed to his employer and protect himself, Greedo seized Ki-Adi-Mundi’s lightsaber, which had fallen during the commotion. With this valuable prize, he managed to slip away from Mygeeto and make his way back to Tatooine.

Initially, Jabba was upset that the Givin had been killed. Just as he prepared to toss the Rodian into a rancor pit, Dok-Ondar, an Ithorian dealer of antiquities, intervened and purchased the stolen lightsaber, thereby preventing Jabba from executing the Rodian. Instead, Jabba assigned him a straightforward bounty mission. Later on, Jabba placed a bounty on Han Solo, one of his own smuggling staff. Eventually, Greedo encountered the smuggler in the Mos Eisley Cantina and menaced him with his blaster.

Han Solo confidently stated that he’d settle his debt with Jabba the Hutt. In a tense exchange with Greedo, Han managed to draw his weapon, hidden beneath the counter. Realizing Han’s intentions, Greedo retaliated first, but his shots went wide. Seizing the opportunity, Han swiftly returned fire, fatally wounding Greedo. With Greedo lying dead on the floor, Han exited the bar, leaving his lifeless body behind.

12. Black Krrsantan

Debut: The Book of Boba Fett

Krrsantan, often referred to as “Santy”, “BK”, “Black K” by Doctor Aphra, and “Santo” by Garsa Fwip, was a Wookiee mercenary whose work ranged from the Galactic Empire’s rule to the New Republic era. Initially taken from his native planet Kashyyyk and turned into a gladiator under the tutelage of the notorious Xonti Brothers, Krrsantan transformed into an incredibly fierce bounty hunter later on.

He frequently worked for crime boss Jabba the Hutt and at one stage was employed by Darth Vader during the Galactic Civil War, tasked with locating and apprehending an agent of Emperor Palpatine. Infiltrating Jabba’s and Boba Fett’s new palace, Krrsantan surprised an unaware Boba Fett, who was recovering in a bacta tank. With electrified fists of steel, Krrsantan flung his target across the room, colliding with Fett, causing the Daimyo to lose balance.

Afterwards, Fett sliced the Wookiee twice using his gaderffii, causing it to become embedded in Fett’s back. But Krrsantan retaliated by flinging his adversary across the room. Seizing Fett around the waist, the Wookiee squeezed him tightly, snapping bones in a fierce hug. Fett tried to strike Krrsantan on the head, but the Wookiee countered by sinking his canines into Fett’s hand instead.

13. Fennec Shand

Debut: The Mandalorian

Fennec Shand was a deadly assassin, hired gun, and bounty hunter, who served powerful criminal organizations during the time of the Galactic Empire. Known for her sharp skills and cold-hearted nature, she carved out a place in the criminal underworld early in the Empire’s rule, building a reputation as a sly and top-tier mercenary. With the fall of the Empire and the incarceration of many of her clients, Shand fled, avoiding capture.

Initially hunted and left for dead, fortune would step in and Fennec Shand would be saved by Boba Fett. Making her debut on the bounty hunter stage following the establishment of the Galactic Empire, Fennec Shand swiftly demonstrated her abilities and started taking high-paying jobs. One of her early accomplishments was receiving a direct order to capture the young Omega clone; in this pursuit, she encountered seasoned hunter Cad Bane to claim the bounty.

Fennec Shand, left for dead after being hunted, would eventually be rescued by Boba Fett. Joining the bounty hunter ranks shortly post-Galactic Empire formation, she quickly showed her skills and began taking lucrative jobs. One of her initial successes was a direct assignment to capture the young Omega clone, whereupon she crossed paths with veteran hunter Cad Bane to collect the reward.

After being pursued by the bounty hunters who initially sought her, Shand eluded capture in the scorching deserts of Tatooine for a while. However, her respite was short-lived as Din Djarin, the skilled Mandalorian hunter, and his rookie companion Toro Calican eventually traced her location and launched an attack to apprehend her. Despite her valiant efforts, they managed to overpower her and took the once powerful assassin into custody.

Shand attempted to negotiate her freedom with Calican, but once she successfully persuaded him to betray Djarin, she was fatally shot by the traitor and left for dead. Later, Boba Fett – a renowned bounty hunter – found her and eventually rescued her life. Grateful for his help, Shand joined forces with Fett as his criminal associate.

Previously, Wren teamed up with her buddy Ketsu Onyo in the line of bounty hunting. However, she was later approached by Captain Hera Syndulla and Jedi Kanan Jarrus to join their rebel crew on a ship called Ghost. With this new group, they battled against the Empire, using Wren’s artistic talent as a beacon of hope.
