On Netflix, the Wednesday series has been one of the streaming service’s most successful recent launches, consistently ranking at the peak in terms of viewership. As a result, an increasing number of viewers find themselves drawn into this show. Interestingly, even those who initially waited for the buzz to subside have found themselves enthralled by this series due to its unique combination of humor, action, dark fantasy, and romance elements.
From my perspective as an ardent fan, it’s undeniable that the world of Wednesday is brimming with a diverse cast of characters. A significant number of these individuals belong to a remarkable collective known as the Outcasts, who possess extraordinary abilities that set them apart from typical humans. Given their unique traits, the Outcasts found sanctuary within Nevermore Academy, where Wednesday embarked on her educational journey. Therefore, let’s delve into the most formidable characters in the Wednesday universe.
10. Wednesday
It’s possible that some viewers might find it surprising to see Wednesday not at the top of this ranking, considering she is both the main character and the title character in the storyline. However, although Wednesday is a powerful figure in the series, her growth and continued discovery of her abilities as the plot unfolds may be the reason for her lower placement on this list.
On Wednesdays, we encounter an individual with a unique gift – she can peer into a person’s future by merely touching them. Her interpretations of these visions may differ, but the essence remains that she possesses the ability to foresee events and adjust her actions accordingly. Furthermore, it has been observed that Wednesday is not only proficient in foresight but also in combat, demonstrating exceptional skill in fencing, even outmatching the top student at Nevermore Academy.
9. Eugene

Initially in the series, Eugene wasn’t perceived as a significant threat due to his shy and awkward nature, which made him a companion of Wednesday, with no other members in their beekeeping club. However, it wasn’t long before Wednesday realized that Eugene was a friendly and reliable friend, whom she could rely on for assistance whenever required. And it was during Wednesday’s time of greatest need that Eugene had the opportunity to demonstrate his capabilities.
Eugene might seem young, but his psychic abilities show great promise. He has a unique skill known as apikinesis, which gives him the power to command bees. In other words, he can summon an entire hive to attack if needed, and this proved useful during the final moments of the first season when he was determined to protect his friends. Needless to say, being on the receiving end of numerous bee stings is not something anyone would wish for.
8. Enid

At Nevermore Academy, Enid is introduced as Wednesday’s roommate but stands in stark contrast, for she is cheerful, joyous, and outgoing. Enid serves as a beacon of sunlight to Wednesday’s melancholic disposition. Their first encounter wasn’t entirely smooth due to Wednesday’s somewhat pessimistic perspective on life, yet Enid ultimately developed into her closest confidante. In this friendship, she proved to be one of Wednesday’s most reliable companions throughout the entire series.
Enid’s prowess, particularly her supernatural abilities, held great promise, but at first, she found it challenging to utilize them effectively. As a werewolf, she was only capable of turning her hands into wolf claws instead of fully transforming. Towards the end of the season, however, she managed to undergo a full transformation, becoming a werewolf and demonstrating the ability to stand up to Hyde, the most ferocious creature in terms of raw power and brute strength.
7. Morticia

In contrast to Wednesday’s attempts to break free from her mother’s influence in Nevermore, they share many similarities, with Morticia being notably friendlier and more optimistic. As the family matriarch, Morticia Addams embodies elegance and possesses the same basic abilities as Wednesday, but she wields them with a more polished and sophisticated touch.
Wednesday possesses her mother’s psychic powers, but unlike her mom, Morticia can foresee positive events in people’s futures. Morticia was an exceptionally skilled fencer during her time at Nevermore, making her stand out as an ideal figure in her younger years. This is why she is included on the list of powerful characters, known as Wednesday.
6. Xavier

At Nevermore Academy resides an enigmatic character named Xavier. From their very first encounter, he felt a strong bond with Wednesday. Initially, their relationship was strained due to the suspicion surrounding whoever was behind the Hyde attacks in Nevermore and its surrounding areas. Yet, over time, Xavier emerged as one of Wednesday’s most loyal companions, partly because he developed feelings for her.
As a film enthusiast with a heart for artistry, I find myself in the shoes of Xavier – a soul imbued with sensitivity and an extraordinary ability to create. My power lies not just in my talent for art, but in its full manifestation, where my creations transcend the two-dimensional realm and become tangible realities.
Moreover, I possess a unique gift that allows me to peer into the future through dreams. These visions often inspire me, leading me to immortalize them on canvas or paper with the help of my artistic prowess.
5. Principal Weems

Prior to assuming the role of principal at Nevermore Academy, Larissa Weems had been an exceptionally talented student who often trailed behind Morticia in academic rankings. Despite this, she held a deep sense of inferiority towards Morticia which, to some extent, strained their relationship as roommates. However, Larissa always placed the prestige of Nevermore Academy above personal feelings and showed respect towards both Morticia and Wednesday.
Weems might not appear incredibly strong based on her inherent skills alone. Yet, she is an exceptional shapeshifter capable of assuming any form. This talent proved beneficial throughout the series, enabling her to deceive numerous individuals into believing she was someone else. Although this power may not always be advantageous in a physical confrontation, it can offer versatility that could ultimately alter the course of a dispute.
4. Rowan

Rowan’s brief appearances were packed with an impressive display of his psychic prowess. In the limited episodes he graced us, he left a lasting impact through his intriguing backstory and extraordinary telekinesis. He effortlessly manipulated Wednesday as if she were a doll, even pinning her against a tree without any apparent struggle. This suggests that he might have been the strongest character when it comes to telekinetic power.
One reason Rowan stood out as a character was due to his extraordinary, boundless abilities. Unfortunately, these powers were showcased only briefly before he met an untimely demise within the storyline. However, had Rowan remained sane and been receptive to Wednesday’s tale, he could have grown into one of her strongest allies – perhaps even unraveling some of the school mysteries as effectively as she would have.
3. Tyler

Tyler, being the son of Jericho’s sheriff, was expected to fit into the ordinary mold of town life. However, he proved to be far from typical. Initially, he was a kind and gentle boy who treated Wednesday as a genuine friend. Before the revelation of his true identity, he developed feelings for Wednesday.
In truth, I was born with an unusual lineage – my mother, an Outcast, carried the powers of Hyde within her. This heritage has bestowed upon me a unique ability: I can transform into a formidable creature, surpassing even the might of a werewolf. Physically, my Hyde transformation stands unrivaled. However, the curse of being Hyde comes with its own challenges – I must obey a master.
2. Fester

In the storyline, Uncle Fester Addams stands out as one of the most peculiar characters, even among the other quirky Outcasts. Although his screen time was limited in the initial season, it’s clear that he brings a lot of humor to the series, serving as its comic relief. Despite his comical nature, we understand that Fester has an immense amount of power hidden beneath his goofy exterior.
On Wednesday, Fester exhibited talents that made it clear why his niece admired him and found him pleasant company. Yet, he’s mainly recognized for his electrokinesis, which enables him to conduct electricity throughout his body. This power likely explains why he seems invulnerable to pain. Although we didn’t witness the extent of his powers, it’s undeniable that he is stronger than most characters in the series.
1. Bianca

At Nevermore Academy, Bianca was famously known as the ‘queen bee’ due to her dominant position in the social hierarchy. She excelled in nearly every aspect, thanks to her diligence, skill, courage, and aptitude. However, many students at Nevermore suspect that she often escapes consequences because they see her as a charismatic figure, similar to a siren.
Since Bianca possesses the unique trait of a siren, she can harness the power of her captivating voice to persuade anyone, even someone as formidable as Xavier, to comply with her wishes. Thus, she wields an influence over people’s choices and behavior that borders on manipulation. Notably, Bianca stands out among all students in the school for her exceptional martial arts skills. Combining these talents with her siren powers makes her virtually unstoppable when she decides to use her abilities to their full extent.
