Unleashing Power: Ranking the 15 Strongest Female Saiyans in Dragon Ball!

In the Dragon Ball series, the Saiyans are among the most powerful fictional warrior races. Originally hailing from Planet Vegeta, they were eradicated by Frieza, a space emperor, marking their home’s destruction. The Saiyans were primarily battle-trained and displayed remarkable resilience in various instances. Interestingly, there are also Saiyans in Universe 6 who inhabit the planet Sadala. This was once the home of the Saiyans from Universe 7 as well, until it was devastated by conflict.

Toriyama has created numerous Saiyan characters throughout the Dragon Ball series. In this piece, we’ve chosen to compile a list that focuses on a specific subset of these Saiyans – the female Saiyans. Instead of discussing overall power levels, as we have done with other Saiyans, we will be ranking them based on their individual strengths within the series. While some powerful Saiyan females may have appeared as video game fusions or cameos in games, this article will focus only on those who played significant roles in the storyline.

15. The two Honeys

Initially, Honey (on the left), along with her companion Onio, is introduced in the series Neko Majin Z, and she’s further referenced in Neko Majin Z 2. In the narrative, when Onio witnesses a distant planet exploding near where Honey and he are located, he contemplates if it could be Planet Vegeta. Given Toyotaro’s portrayal of what possibly transpired with Honey and her husband in Dragon Ball Super: Broly, this might have been accurate, but his wife reassures him to stay calm and keep searching for a new planet to transform into their vacation home. Eventually, they choose Earth as their honeymoon destination and decide to build a summer retreat there. To eradicate humans while minimizing environmental damage, Onio estimates that the process would take about a month.

In “Neko Majin Z 2”, the character Honey (located on the right) enters the scene as Thunderbolt’s girlfriend for the first time. She decided to join Thunderbolt at Onion Rock for a signing event. Honey grew concerned because no one seemed interested in getting Thunderbolt’s autograph, causing him to feel annoyed. Just as Neko Majin Z and his companion arrived, Honey and Thunderbolt were on the verge of kissing. However, their moment was interrupted when Neko Majin Z and his friend made fun of them. Notably, while signing Thunderbolt’s autograph in a book that resembled a “Harry Potter” book (called a “Porry Hatter”), Thunderbolt’s friend noticed this interaction.

14. Mizore

In the universe of “Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission,” the character Mizore transforms into Fasha. Characterized by her long hair, big eyes, elongated face, and glasses, she stands tall with a stature reminiscent of an elf. She wears a simple t-shirt, a hat adorned with an elf-like V-shaped insignia, and bears a striking resemblance to the character Arale Norimaki from Dr. Slump. Later in the story, Haze Shenron, an evil dragon, takes control of Mizore after expelling Rezok. However, Froze manages to subdue Haze, removing the dragon ball from within him. Unconscious, Mizore is transported to the real world by Erito.

13. Akina

Akina serves more as a novelty character rather than a traditional one, yet she adds an intriguing element to the collection. Her unique powers and abilities make her stand out, particularly in the game Dragon Ball Heroes. Interestingly, she was designed based on the renowned model and spokeswoman, Akina Minami, from Sakiyomi JanBANG!. In this game, she is presented as a unique Saiyan Hero Avatar. Although she is a gimmick character, she possesses a range of powers and abilities such as flight and techniques like Kiai, Energy Flash, Galick Gun, Death Beam, Death Ball, Kamehameha, Spirit Bomb, Innocence Cannon, and Final Explosion.

12. Queen of the Saiyans

In simpler terms, this character is known as the Last Queen of the Saiyans. She’s significant because she’s Vegeta and Tarble’s mom, and the grandmother of Trunks and Bulla. Moreover, she was married to King Vegeta. Despite her importance, little is known about her since she hasn’t appeared in any canonical Dragon Ball materials. Interestingly, King Vegeta chose her as his consort at the age of 731. Unfortunately, like many Saiyans in Universe 7, she was eradicated by Frieza. It appears that her power level warranted mention due to her standing within the Saiyan community and King Vegeta’s personal selection.

11. Note

In the anime series Dragon Ball Heroes and its spin-off Dragon Ball Heroes: Victory Mission, a character named Note holds significant roles. Last year, she ranked third in the “Strongest Hero” national tournament. After witnessing Beat play, she challenges him to battle. During their fight, Note employs her unique card, Super Baby 2, but ultimately loses when Beat uses his Super Saiyan 4 Goku card. On a different occasion, Note encourages Beat to join a tournament since he’s never participated. Unfortunately, she is unable to compete in the tournament because of a name draw loss. When Beat advances to the finals, Note battles him again despite her victory being questionable due to his weak Charge Impact.

Following Froze’s victory over Erito, Note instructs Beat to exchange their cards, but he’s unable due to only having brought a few. Later, Note encounters Forte, whom she had previously battled in the national tournament. After Froze triumphs against Beat in the finals, both Note and Forte remark that Beat lost because Froze is an unstoppable fighting machine with no emotions. Forte subsequently challenges Note to a duel, but during their fight, Froze accidentally disconnects the machine by tripping while being confronted by bullies attempting to steal his cards. Note and Forte manage to subdue one of the bullies together, and shortly afterward, Froze departs when his parents arrive on the scene.

10. Forte

In the Japanese arcade game “Super Dragon Ball Heroes”, there’s an option for a female Saiyan character named Forte, who is also known as the Female Saiyan Berserker. It’s said that she invaded the Dragon Ball Heroes universe and transformed into a Saiyan, much like the Saiyan Hero and other characters. Dressed in purple attire with fingerless gloves that reach her elbows, black boots, and a yellow sleeve on one leg, Forte dons typical battle armor. Her hair is pulled back in a bun.

When she activates class-up mode, she switches to a brand new Saiyan armor. Currently, he wears an upgraded version of Vegeta’s initial armor, featuring a neckline, Saiyan-like bracelets, boots similar to those used by Raditz or other Saiyans, purple wristbands that extend beyond the elbows beneath the bracelets, and leg sleeves in the same color as the original armor. She consistently wears her distinctive purple outfit.

9. Bulma Leigh

Bulma Leigh, who is often recognized as the mother of Vegeta Jr., appears a century later when Yi Xing Long loses a martial arts competition. Her role is to support her son, Vegeta Jr. She resembles Bulma in both appearance and character, but with sharper bangs and a preference for olive green clothing instead.

I share striking similarities with Bulma and Bra, particularly in my appearance. Given this likeness, it’s plausible that I might be a descendant of Bulma, possibly even her granddaughter, either from Bra or Trunks. Intriguingly, before formally introducing myself as the head honcho at Capsule Corporation, I had a brief chat with Pan. However, she didn’t seem to recognize me, hinting that connections between the Goku and Vegeta families could have faded significantly over the past century, making it difficult for us to reconnect.

8. Bulla

Born on February 8, Bulla predates the 28th Tenkaichi Budokai by a bit. At that point in the story, she doesn’t display remarkable fighting skills, mainly due to her youth. However, considering her lineage, it’s safe to assume she possesses combat capabilities. Later on, in Dragon Ball GT, we witness her using her powers to bolster Vegeta when he’s under Baby’s influence. Despite this, Bulla is a pampered girl who enjoys shopping and admires her father greatly. She bears a striking resemblance to a younger Bulma, both in appearance and demeanor.

She’s the daughter of Vegeta and Bulma, making Trunks her older brother. Given that, King Vegeta serves as her paternal grandfather, Mr. Brief is her maternal grandfather, and Madame Brief is her maternal grandmother. Additionally, Table is her paternal uncle. When she was young, she bore a strong resemblance to her mother. She has blue hair. In Dragon Ball Z, she typically wore a dress with her hair styled in a high ponytail. However, in Dragon Ball GT, her hairstyle changed to loose hair with a bob cut and a red headband, while her clothing also became predominantly red.

7. Nion

As a die-hard Dragon Ball fan, I’d like to share some thoughts about this fascinating character named Nion. Born on the legendary planet Vegeta, she is a proud Saiyan of pure blood. Her occupation as a scientist sets her apart, with her specializing in the study of infant development and combat potential.

First making an appearance in the Dragon Ball Super: Broly movie, Nion serves as a tertiary character that leaves a lasting impression. She stands out with her slender build and average height, and her black eyes are captivating, while her medium-length hair is styled in a unique bluish-purple bowl cut.

Unlike other Saiyans I’ve come across, Nion demonstrates a chilly demeanor when evaluating Broly’s combat potential. She never falters in the face of King Vegeta, exhibiting an air of fearlessness that is truly remarkable. And when faced with challenging situations, she flashes mischievous smiles that hint at her hidden intentions.

6. Gine

Originally hailing from Universe 7 as a humble Saiyan, Gine was Bardock’s spouse and the biological mother of both Goku and Raditz. Having a gentle nature, she chose to work at the Meat Distribution Center on Planet Vegeta following her departure from Bardock’s squad. Making her first foray into acting, Gine appeared in Dragon Ball Super: Broly, having debuted earlier in the manga series, Dragon Ball Minus, a special chapter within Jaco the Galactic Patrolman. Unlike her fellow Saiyans, Gine was not a fighter by nature.

According to Toriyama’s perspective, Gine was unlike other Saiyans because she had affection and attachment towards her partner, Bardock. Gine developed maternal emotions, feeling joy that Raditz was sent with Prince Vegeta and worry for the safety of her youngest son, who was being exiled as a newborn due to his low survival chances. Even tears welled up in her eyes when she saw him departing. In a playful manner, Bardock teased her, suggesting that she was giving him paternal feelings, which were uncommon among Saiyans.

5. Pan

Pan is the child of Videl and Gohan, with Mr. Satan serving as her maternal grandfather and Miguel (who passed away) as her maternal great-grandfather. On her father’s side, she is granddaughter to Goku and Chi-Chi. Being the offspring of a Saiyan hybrid like her father Gohan and an Earthling like her mother Videl, Pan has a unique mix of both ancestries, making her 75% Earthling and 25% Saiyan.

In Dragon Ball Super, Baby Pan is portrayed as being full of energy, cheerful, loving, and quite energetic. Her parents, Videl and Gohan, frequently find themselves trying to soothe the lively toddler. Despite this, Pan seems to relish the attention from her family members, including her grandparents. Notably, just a few months old when she first learned to fly, Pan enjoys discovering new environments and finding herself in mischief – for instance, she often gets into trouble by soiling Alternative Future Trunks.

4. Fasha

As part of Bardock’s Elite Saiyan Team, Fasha functions as a formidable yet loyal Saiyan warrior. Although she exhibits cunning and brutality in battle, Fasha maintains a strong sense of respect and loyalty towards her comrades, much like Bardock, Toma, and other squad members. According to Dragon Ball Carddass, Fasha’s base combat power stands at 2,000 units. When she transforms into a giant monkey (triggered by her tail and the presence of a full moon), her power significantly boosts to an impressive 20,000 units. During their assault on Planet Kanassan, Fasha is depicted in this powerful monkey form.

3. Caulifla

Goku is amazed as Caulifla transforms into a Super Saiyan 2, hinting at the possibility of him achieving the Super Saiyan 3 form during the Tournament of Power. However, he needs to fully master both Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan 2 first. Interestingly, Caulifla mentions that she had never been defeated by any other Saiyan, until meeting Cabba.

Several soldiers from Sadala’s Defense Forces avoided her territory due to fear of meeting her. Confidently, Caulifla claims superiority over all of them, discussing how the Saiyans from Universe 7 found it challenging to master the Super Saiyan transformation under Cabba’s tutelage. In her Super Saiyan form, Caulifla caused serious damage to Frieza and destroyed a large portion of the Tournament of Power stage. When Freeza first transformed into Namek, she would brag about being much more powerful than Son Goku. However, she stands no chance against Kale or Golden Frieza in their base forms.

2. Kale

Kale, often called the Female Demon Saiyan, hails from Planet Sadala in Universe 6. She’s been trained by Caulifla and joined the Tournament of Power as part of Team Universe 6, under Champa’s leadership. Known as the Legendary Saiyan of her universe, she’s similar to Broly but from Universe 6. Every thousand years, a demon Saiyan like her brings about chaos at the expense of her own life. You might recognize her for the first time in the Universal Survival Arc of the Dragon Ball Super anime and manga.

Kale can metamorphose into a form reminiscent of Broly’s Legendary Super Saiyan. In this state, her musculature expands further, although she appears slimmer than Broly (DBZ). Her aura changes to green, and her eyes lose their pupils. Similar to how Saiyans’ clothing and bracelets adapt during an Oozaru transformation, Kale’s garments and accessories conform to this new form.

1. Kefla

In the Dragon Ball Super anime and manga, Kefla is introduced as a Saiyan fusion character born from the merging of Kale and Caulifla, facilitated by the Potara Earrings belonging to the Kaio-shin Huwa. Debuting in the Universal Survival Arc, she represents Team Universe 6 in the Tournament of Power. Vados reveals that when fused with the Potara, a user’s power multiplies significantly, and Goku notices no apparent limit to Kefla’s ever-growing strength as she accumulates energy.

Her strength is enormous, and she can move fast enough to catch Super Saiyan God Goku off guard, then strike him and knock him down – all without transforming. When she does transform into a Super Saiyan, she can hold her own against Super Saiyan Blue Goku in a fairly balanced fight, causing him to use the Kaio-ken x20 technique together with his transformation to keep up with her.
