Cygames has acknowledged discovering a problem with the Scout screen in Umamusume: Pretty Derby, leading them to temporarily deactivate the feature for repairs on July 14, 2025. Unfortunately, they have not shared any additional information regarding the nature of the issue or an estimated timeframe for its resolution.
Currently, when I’m typing this, the Scout function remains unavailable, so players are unable to obtain new Umamusune using their Carats at the moment.
In gacha games playable on PC, iOS, and Android, scouting allows players to acquire not just extra characters for training and racing, but also support cards that boost their stats. It can be disheartening for players when this feature is temporarily unavailable since some characters are only available during specific timeframes. Unfortunately, it would be a shame if a player missed the chance to draw for a desired character due to unexpected maintenance.
Right now, there’s speculation that Cygames might distribute extra Carats as a form of apology for any trouble caused, which they have done in similar situations before.
