In the game Umamusume, Rushing Gale is a strong and uncommon speed boost. It’s particularly useful for the upcoming Cancer Cup race, and you’ll also need it to finish a task in the ‘Tracen Special: Training the Trainer’ event.
Find out how to get Rushing Gale in Umamusume: Pretty Derby below.
How to obtain Rushing Gale in Umamusume
In Umamusume, the easiest way to teach your trainee the Rushing Gale skill is by using the SSR Support Card, [Dream Big!] Tokai Teio. This card unlocks a Legendary Act event that automatically teaches the skill – you can’t make any wrong choices during the event, so you’re guaranteed to learn it!
Currently, this skill is unique among Support Cards and isn’t a natural talent for any Umamusume, making it quite rare.
If you don’t own the Dream Big! Tokai Teio SSR Support Card, you have two choices: borrow it from a friend, or use a parent Umamusume who has the Spark for Rushing Gale. Getting the card guarantees you’ll get the skill, but relying on the Spark to activate during an Inspiration event is a bit risky. Still, it’s worth trying if you don’t have access to the card.
Okay, so Rushing Gale is like a supercharged version of Straightaway Acceleration. Basically, it gets my runner up to top speed *way* faster on straightaways. Seriously, don’t underestimate how much faster acceleration can help – it’s a huge deal when you’re trying to overtake someone or make a final push for the finish line. It can totally give you the edge you need to win!
