The ‘In Body and Mind’ skill is a useful upgrade to ‘Homestretch Haste’ that can help horses finish strong in Umamusume. But many players are trying to get it specifically to complete a mission in the ‘Tracen Special: Training the Trainer’ event.

How to obtain In Body and Mind in Umamusume
You can acquire the ‘In Body and Mind’ skill for your trainee in a couple of ways. Two Umamusume characters automatically learn it as part of their abilities – simply level them up to the required point, and it’s yours!

If you haven’t unlocked these characters or haven’t leveled them up enough yet, you can still get In Body and Mind. The Special Dreamer Special Week SSR and Dreams Do Come True! Winning Ticket SSR Support Cards both give you a chance to earn it.
During certain events, you’ll need to choose a particular dialogue choice to unlock a skill hint from Special Week’s SSR card.

Choosing the lowest option here stops the sequence and prevents you from reaching the final event, where you have a chance to learn a clue for either Homestretch Haste or In Body and Mind. Therefore, it’s not the best way to get that ability.
After the Dream-Fulfilling Challenge event, Winning Ticket’s SSR character will automatically give you two clues about their skills for both ‘In Body’ and ‘In Mind’ – you won’t need to make any specific choices during conversations to get them.
If you can’t access those options, you have two other choices: you can borrow the Special Week SSR or Winning Ticket SSR cards from a friend, or borrow a parent Umamusume who has the ‘In Body and Mind’ Spark. Just like getting the right skill hint with Special Week’s SSR can be random, there’s no guarantee the ‘In Body and Mind’ Spark will activate during either of the two Inspiration moments in a run.
Body and Mind is an upgrade to Homestretch Haste, giving your Umamusume a speed boost during the final stretch of a race. This ability significantly increases her chances of winning.
