In the game Umamusume, the skill ‘Corner Connoisseur’ is a powerful boost that’s helpful for the Cancer Cup race and also required to finish a specific task in the ‘Tracen Special: Training the Trainer’ event.

How to obtain Corner Connoisseur in Umamusume
You can get the Corner Connoisseur skill in a couple of different ways. Two Umamusume characters automatically learn it as they level up, meaning it’s always available to them once they reach a certain point.

If you haven’t trained either of the Umamusume who learn Corner Connoisseur to the required level, you can get the skill from the Support Card, Gold Ship SSR. This card unlocks the skill as part of the “Can’t Spell “Rival” without “Friend”” event, and thankfully, you don’t need to make a specific dialogue choice to get it.
If you can’t get the Gold Ship SSR card or a parent Umamusume with the Corner Connoisseur Spark yourself, you have two other choices. You can borrow the card from another player, or borrow a parent Umamusume with the right Spark from a friend. Getting the Spark to activate during a race can be a little random, as it needs to happen during one of the two Inspiration moments, but it’s worth a try if you’re stuck.
Corner Connoisseur improves how quickly your runner speeds up when going around corners. This lets them reach top speed faster, making it easier to pass other runners.
