Initially introduced in Japan during 1966, the beloved character Ultraman has been captivating audiences for almost six decades. The Japanese superhero continues to be a fan favorite with a dedicated following, and live Ultraman events have been an integral part of the franchise for years. Now, Tsuburaya Productions has announced that the famous hero will transition from screen to stage once more in the upcoming live show Ultraman LIVE. This exciting new stage production is set to debut at the American Dream Mall in New Jersey from November 15-23. The American adaptation of Ultraman will feature Kaiju battles, unexpected guest appearances, and advanced LED visual effects. Furthermore, Ultraman LIVE will also feature a special appearance by Christopher Sean, who voices Ken Sato and Ultraman in Netflix’s Ultraman: Rising.
In the titled event, “Ultraman Hero Premiere 2025,” Earth faces an attack by formidable kaiju from the franchise. To save our planet, Ultraman Omega and his allies utilize their agility, martial arts prowess, extraordinary weapons, and powerful beams. Bandai’s Jeff Gordon expressed enthusiasm for bringing the live-action performances of Tsuburaya Productions to American audiences, aiming to foster a stronger bond with this legendary character. The team is eager to fuel fan excitement for Ultraman and offer top-notch products that will enable fans to engage further with the series beyond this event.
The upcoming live stage performance will feature Ultraman Omega, the newest addition to the Ultraman franchise, starring in his self-titled series. This event is scheduled to premiere before the English dubbed version of the show airs on North American streaming platforms this November. As of now, details are scarce regarding whether the live show will be broadcast beyond New Jersey or embark on a tour. With 2026 marking Ultraman’s 60th anniversary (alongside Star Trek and Batman ’66), it’s hoped that fans from across the nation will have an opportunity to enjoy this Ultraman Live event.
