For quite some time, the Prince of Persia series has been cherished as an action-adventure favorite by many, particularly those who played on older consoles. However, in recent years, it seemed to fade into oblivion, but that’s all set to change.
It’s exciting to share that a new version of the highly acclaimed “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time“, considered one of the series’ finest, is in development. Fingers crossed, Ubisoft is putting in a lot of effort to create an exceptional game for us to enjoy.
The game has faced multiple delays so far, yet it appears we finally have a clearer estimated launch date.
Back in 2020, a new version of the game was announced, and you might recall this news. Since then, various release dates have been proposed, but since we haven’t seen the game hit the market yet, it’s safe to say that it has experienced delays multiple times.
Last October, Ubisoft announced that the game was expected to be released in 2026. However, it appears that we now have a narrower timeframe for its launch.

According to Ubisoft’s recent confirmation, the release date for this game has been scheduled in the first quarter of 2026. Although it may appear far off, rest assured that time tends to fly by.
From what we’ve glimpsed in the initial previews and the trailer, it seems that this upcoming game is going to be visually breathtaking. We’re eagerly anticipating diving back into its world, a return that’s been 20 years in the making since its original release.
