
As a viewer, I’m really excited to see how much TV is changing! We’re finally seeing more characters who actually look like the world around us, and that includes a lot more Black non-binary and gender-diverse teens. It’s amazing to see these characters as the popular kids, the trendsetters, and leaders in their schools – confidently dealing with all the usual teenage stuff. It just feels so much more real and important to show that authenticity at every level, and it’s a huge step towards truly inclusive representation.
‘Sex Education’ (2019–2023)
