The highly anticipated “Tsuyokute New Saga” anime series has recently unveiled significant developments. A new key artwork, a newly produced promotional clip, and alterations within its production crew are among the updates. Originally slated for release in July 2023, the anime, adapted from Masayuki Abe’s light novel, has experienced a delay but is now back on schedule and will debut this coming July on Tokyo MX and ABC.
In addition to the video release, several new actors were unveiled for their roles in the production. Kaori Maeda will voice Milena, Hiroki Yasumoto plays Zentos, Riho Sugiyama takes on Miranda’s role, and Rie Hikisaka voices Gō. Tetsu Inada joins as Gazas. They join an already announced cast that includes Yūma Uchida as Kyle, Hiro Shimono as Seran, Fairouz Ai as Lise, Asami Seto as Urza, and Minami Takahashi as Sildonia.
Changes have occurred backstage as well. Previously held by Norikazu Ishigooka, the director position is now assumed by Naoki Mizusawa. The animation responsibilities are now shared between Sotsu and Studio Clutch, with Studio Massket offering assistance, replacing Makaria and Yokohama Animation Lab in this role.
Naoki Horiuchi is now managing the project, but even with some alterations, essential team members stay consistent. Kenta Ihara is still writing the scripts, Nilitsu continues to be the original character designer, and Atsushi Asahi’s work on character designs remains acknowledged. The music duties are handled by Shachō (SOIL&“PIMP”SESSIONS) and Hironori Anazawa.
The narrative centers around Kyle, a valiant hero who vanquishes the Demon King only to be mysteriously transported back in time by four years. Retaining his recollections, he embarks on a mission to alter the past and halt the impending doom of the world.

Back in 2012, I stumbled upon this captivating light novel online, and by 2013, it had found its home at AlphaPolis. The following year, in April, I eagerly picked up the first physical edition, adorned with stunning illustrations by Ryūta Fuse. This series spanned an impressive 10 volumes, concluding in 2018.
Simultaneously, a manga adaptation penned by Jun Miura kicked off in 2014 and concluded its run in July 2023. The final chapter of this epic saga is now on the horizon, with Alpha Manga preparing to bring it to English readers as New Saga.
As a dedicated movie critic, I’m thrilled to share that the long-awaited return of “Tsuyokute New Saga” is now imminent! With a fresh crew and an impressive lineup of new cast members, this anime seems poised for a triumphant resurgence. After the unexpected halt, it appears the production team has been working tirelessly to ensure a powerful comeback for this beloved series.
