Trump’s Shocking Move: Funding Cut for Controversial Trans Comic in Peru!

It’s learned President Donald Trump’s new DEI policies have impacted the comic book community.

As per House Foreign Affairs Chair Brian Mast (R-Fla.), during the presidency of Joe Biden, policies focusing on diversity, equity, and inclusion were being used to finance a comic book featuring a transgender character in Peru.

The news emerged that the Biden administration had intended to distribute $50 million worth of condoms in Gaza, but this plan is no longer valid since Trump has resumed his presidency.

Mast mentioned, “It seems that a comic book featuring a transgender character exists.” He went on to share that they were attempting to acquire the original copy of this comic, which is said to be found in Peru. He also hinted that the content might contain some adult themes.

Based on a report by The Daily Mail that analyzed federal records, it appears that a trans comic book creator from Peru was granted approximately $32,000 during the tenure of Antony Blinken, who served as Secretary of State under President Biden.

American comic books infected with DEI

The influence of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) has extended beyond foreign comic books to affect what are commonly referred to as the “big two” in the U.S., namely DC Comics and Marvel. Over the past ten years or more, these publishers have faced criticism from fans regarding their perceived ‘woke’ agendas.

In recent times, DC has introduced several of their iconic characters as LGBTQ+, among them Superman. Similarly, Marvel has swapped out traditional characters for more progressive versions. This website originally emerged in 2008 due to Marvel Comics’ shift towards more socially and culturally sensitive portrayals of original characters.

Lately, I’ve found myself in the midst of a conversation about Marvel, particularly their decision to redefine Captain America not just in the comics but also within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Anthony Mackie stepping into the role for “Captain America: Brave New World” due out next week. Now, Mackie has stirred up some debate with his comments suggesting that Captain America isn’t the best embodiment of America. Additionally, they’ve unveiled their latest DEI-focused Spider-Man animated series.

Due to the decline of DC Comics and Marvel, numerous comic book creators have decided to strike out on their own, founding their own character brands and companies. Notable among these independent pioneers are Ethan Van Sciver, Shane Davis, Dale Keown, and others who have successfully sold millions of their comics.
