Once upon a Tuesday almost indistinguishable from last Monday (except that my boots were wetter and this coffee more bitter), the Tron price found itself inexplicably invigorated, rallying to such heights as hadn’t visited since the wintry breath of December past. Transactions flocked to the network and network fees, like particularly optimistic mosquitoes, also began to thrive.
Our protagonist — the Tron (TRX) token — leapt heroically to $0.28 on May 14, a splendid 36% climb from its recent 2025 slumber. The village gossips, Nansen and TokenTerminal (known to exaggerate, but not without reason), declared Tron was now the third most active blockchain in the land. Sixty million transactions passed through its gates in the last week, with a weekly increase of 4.8% — which the town mathematician assures me is “good.” Solana, ever the show-off, had 433 million, while Base, the humble neighbor, had 67 million transactions and kept mostly to itself.
Tron’s number of active addresses? Ah, it crept up by 1% to over 6 million, as if a few more folks discovered the joys (or mild existential dread) of crypto. Ethereum, meanwhile, dozed comfortably with 9.45 million transactions and only 2 million addresses — perhaps it prefers quality over quantity?
Word spread through the grapevine (and possibly Telegram) that Tron has become the second richest resident in Crypto Town, right after the ever-opulent Tether. Tron reportedly hauled in $1.24 billion this year — more than Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain combined. I guess dinner’s on Tron tonight.
But whence comes Tron’s fortune? Not from ancient Indian treasure, but rather from its booming USDT business. TronScan’s latest tally: $104.2 billion moved on Tuesday alone, with 2.47 million transfers. It’s as if everyone’s favorite pastime these days is sending Tether back and forth — who needs sports?
Meanwhile, Tron has been on a dashing diet, burning supply down to a svelte 94.9 million from last year’s portlier 96.5 million. Burn, baby, burn — supply inferno! 🔥
Investors, too, have begun staking with all the excitement of villagers queueing for bread. Over the last 30 days, 379 million TRX marched into the staking field, boosting the total staking market cap to a robust $11.16 billion. The staking ratio now sits at a stately 42.55% (which I’m told is quite the attractive number at dinner parties).
Tron price technical analysis
On the day-to-day chart (which hangs, slightly askew, in the drawing room), TRX performed a gallant rebound from support at $0.2165 to $0.2800 this week. It finally poked through the resistance at $0.2584, a threshold that had previously said “nyet” more times than my Aunt Ludmilla. Now, an ascending channel has appeared, and TRX is just beneath its upper boundary, probably pondering its next existential move. The chart also notes a triumphant leap above the 50-day EMA — which I am reliably informed is not a brand of toothpaste — and an Awesome Oscillator that’s remained above zero since March. The Relative Strength Index, channeling its inner poet, now sits boldly above the overbought threshold — perhaps a touch dramatic, but aren’t we all?
If, against all odds and market anxieties, TRX vaults above the upper channel at $0.2800, the tea leaves foretell a run toward the 2024 high of $0.4467. That’s a 64% climb from where we now stand. Will it happen? Stranger things than crypto have happened in this world: bears read newspapers, men marry for love, and tokens moon. 🚀
