Transformers Screenwriter Roberto Orci Faces Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Allegations From Wife Adele Heather Taylor

As a long-time fan of Roberto Orci’s work, it’s truly heartbreaking and disappointing to learn about these distressing allegations against him. The man who brought us beloved characters like Uhura and Spock from Star Trek, and made action-packed Transformers films, now stands accused of such heinous acts towards his wife.

In a lawsuit filed on Monday, Roberto Orci, the producer of The Proposal (2009) and the screenwriter for the Star Trek and Transformers film series, is being accused of physically attacking and sexually misconducting his wife, Adele Heather Taylor, on multiple instances.

Based on multiple sources, Taylor claims that Orci displayed both aggressive behavior and an alcohol addiction, making him verbally abusive and even physically violent toward her. According to these reports, there were instances where she would have visible bruises due to his physical abuse. (Variety was referenced in the original text)

In May 2022, she stated that Orci had made unwanted sexual advances towards her. She alleged that Orci forcefully restrained her in their garden and physically violated her.

According to Variety’s report, it was claimed back in June that he had sexually assaulted her and made fun of her during the incident. Additionally, it was alleged that in April 2020, she was arrested for domestic abuse after assaulting Orci, who then contacted the police. Later on, Orci paid Taylor’s bail.

Taylor departed Orci not long after an incident she termed a brutal attack, which occurred in December 2022 and was allegedly orchestrated by him. She claimed to have evidence of the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen writer threatening violence and boasting that due to her previous arrest, no one would believe her if she ever chose to report him.

After that, Orci applied for a restraining order against Taylor and commenced divorce proceedings.

In June, Orci filed a lawsuit against Taylor, alleging that she had attacked him numerous times, using a taser and pepper spray among other methods. In his lawsuit over employment discrimination, Orci admitted facts about his struggles with alcohol, multiple instances of overdose leading to hospitalization, and his attendance in various rehabilitation centers. He subsequently accused Taylor of taking advantage of him during his downward spiral, claiming she had victimized him by providing support that ultimately led him to give her valuable items under false pretenses.

Adele Heather Taylor asserted a counterclaim, bringing up concerns about trust between them. This prompted both parties to decide that almost all of their assets would be transferred to a family trust, with an equal division being the exception. Taylor alleged that Roberto Orci violated this agreement and failed to financially support her as well.
