The reviews for this movie have been exceptionally positive. On Rotten Tomatoes, it’s currently receiving a thumbs-up from 88% of critics, and on Metacritic, it has an overall score of 88 out of 100, which translates to “universal acclaim.
In May 2024, it was initially announced that a political thriller titled “A House of Dynamite” would be directed by Kathryn Bigelow, as Netflix made this announcement. Filming for the movie started in Trenton, New Jersey towards the end of the same year and concluded by December, based on reports from Variety and Deadline. It wasn’t until June 2025 that the official title was disclosed.
The film is set to premiere in cinemas across the UK on October 3. A week and a half later, it will be shown in selected theatres in the US on October 10. Two weeks after that, it becomes available for streaming globally on Netflix, starting from October 24.
