Trailer for ‘Batman:H2SH’ by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee Has Been Released

Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee are joining forces again for the long-awaited follow-up to their legendary Batman: Hush narrative. Known as Batman: H2SH, this new series will kick off with Batman #158 on March 26, 2025, and continues monthly over six issues, wrapping up in August with Batman #163.

In the narrative unfolding, Thomas Elliot – once a close companion to Bruce Wayne during their youth – reappears with a fierce vendetta. Instead of solely attacking Batman, he’s also aiming at Batman’s trusted associates. This means that viewers can expect an abundance of suspenseful scenes and unexpected plot turns as the story unfolds.

Although the creative group, made up of Scott Williams, Alex Sinclair, and Richard Starkings, is largely hiding the specifics of the story, a sneak peek at an inked page from Batman issue #158 was shown in December to generate anticipation.

And now, we finally got the trailer:

once again, Hush makes an appearance; this time joined by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee – the dynamic duo! Beginning in March with issue #158 of Batman, the grandest comic book sequel yet, titled Batman: H2SH, unfolds!

Previously, DC unveiled an impressive set of variant cover designs for Batman #158. Artists such as J. Scott Campbell, Gabriele Dell’Otto, Dan Mora, Lee Bermejo, Simone Di Meo, Tony S. Daniel, and Sean Gordon Murphy will be creating these covers. Notably, Dell’Otto’s work will create a connected image across the six issues, highlighting Batman’s associates and adversaries. Furthermore, Jim Lee, Williams, and Sinclair are providing exclusive variant covers, including a foil edition retailing for $7.99.

In preparation for Batman: H2SH, DC Comics is unveiling a series of Hush-themed cover variations across several ongoing comics during February 2025. These covers, crafted by talented artists like Mitch Gerads, Kaare Andrews, Dustin Nguyen, and Leirix, pay tribute to the popular storyline and offer a valuable collectible aspect for enthusiasts.

If you can’t wait to start, there’s an early look at the prelude for “Batman: H2SH” tucked away in issue #1 of “Justice League Unlimited”. This preview gives a hint of what Loeb, Lee, and their team have planned for us.

In my perspective as a devoted fan, the suspense from the story doesn’t end with Batman #158. Already, the main cover of Batman #159 has been unveiled, hinting at a significant part for Jason Todd in the unfolding tale. For those who remember, the original Hush arc featured a striking false move involving Jason Todd, who later made a genuine comeback to the Batman universe.

The 158th issue of Batman is set to release on March 26, 2025, for $4.99. Variant covers, including special editions like card stock and foil-wrapped variants, will cost more. These special versions will be available at participating comic shops and online retailers for collectors. With anticipation growing, the upcoming chapter of ‘Hush’ is expected to offer the same thrills, unexpected twists, and high-stakes drama that made the original tale so popular.
