Actor and photographer Brad Everett Young passed away on Sunday, September 14th, at the age of 46, following a car accident in California, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Paul Christensen, a spokesperson for Young, said the accident happened late at night on the 134 Freeway after Young had gone to a movie. According to Christensen, another vehicle traveling in the wrong direction hit Young’s car.
The other driver survived and was hospitalized, but Young died at the scene.
Throughout his extensive career, Young acted in many popular TV shows and films. On television, he appeared in series like *Forever*, *Boy Meets World*, *Felicity*, *Charmed*, *Beverly Hills, 90210*, *The Practice*, *Charlie’s Angels*, and *Grey’s Anatomy*. He also starred in films including *Love & Basketball*, *Rumor Has It…*, *Austin Powers in Goldmember*, *The Artist*, and *Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde*.
I always knew Ethan Young as more than just an actor, and his photography was a huge part of that. He was seriously talented behind the lens, and incredibly popular online – he racked up over two million followers on Instagram who were clearly captivated by his portrait work. It was a real second career for him, and he excelled at it.
His photographs were featured in prominent magazines like The Hollywood Reporter, Vanity Fair, Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, PEOPLE, and Variety. He’s photographed celebrities including David Harbour, Seth Green, and Gavin Casalegno.

Young had many friends in Hollywood, and was particularly close to Paul Walker, who sadly passed away. In December 2024, he shared a heartfelt post on Instagram remembering Walker as a longtime friend and celebrating their connection.
He also started Dream Loud Official, a community-based effort that helps fund music and arts programs in schools nationwide. According to Christensen, “Brad was incredibly passionate about the arts and the people who create them. He dedicated his life to fostering creativity, and Dream Loud Official will ensure his work continues.”
Brad Everett Young was a talented actor and filmmaker who also passionately supported and encouraged young creatives. He’ll be fondly remembered for all of these contributions.
