Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4: All Canada challenges and secret collectible locations

The latest release, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, is now available, featuring impressive re-creations of numerous stages from two top-tier games in the franchise’s history, along with some unique levels exclusive to this game. Each stage is packed with a variety of challenges to conquer and secrets cleverly tucked away for players to uncover.

In the remade version of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3, the second stage is set in Canada. This stage is larger than The Foundry and presents increased challenges, making it more complex and tricky to master due to its intricate and demanding tasks.

We’ve compiled this guide to help you overcome all the difficulties in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 that are unique to Canada, as well as providing instructions on how to find the hidden tape and other collectibles within each level.

THPS 3+4 Canada: All challenge solutions

In Canada and many stages, you’ll encounter several challenges that require minimal explanation. These include high score challenges (where you need to perform tricks and combos to meet a specific score) and SKATE letter collection (which involves finding letters arranged as ‘SKATE’ within each level). The majority of the SKATE letters are visible from the start, and once you’ve found the S, it should be straightforward to locate the rest.

Nosegrind Around the Horn

In the heart of the map, if we can refer to it as such, stands a towering tree with ropes hanging from it. To reach this spot, climb onto the log cabin’s roof and follow the wooden bridge all the way around until you notice a gap in the planks, marked by traffic cones. Jump up to the rope, then perform an ollie followed by a grind maneuver along the rope until you see the message “Around The Horn”. Complete this trick to check it off your list.

Get Chuck Unstuck

In simpler terms, Chuck is a young boy who has become frozen to a nearby post. To help him, first, move to the side of the fence where he’s located. Then, perform a jump or leap (ollie) towards him to free him from his icy predicament.

Bury That Bully!

Near the launching point, there’s a substantial tree-top jump platform. It’s advisable to leap onto this platform first, then brace yourself for a swift deceleration, as it’s simple to overshoot this spot.

To your right, there’s a large pile of snow hanging off a suspended rope. You can either jump (ollie) onto the snow or slide along the rope, which will cause the snow to fall and bury the bully.

Impress the Skaters

Making an impression on the skaters is quite straightforward. Just stroll over to the designated skate park, which is conveniently located near the starting point, and you’ll find a group of about five skaters scattered around the area. To catch their attention, perform a reasonable sequence of moves – a couple thousand should suffice – and they’re likely to be impressed. Once you’ve managed to impress all five, feel free to leave.

THPS 3+4 Canada: How to get the secret tape

Uncovering the hidden cassette in the Canada stage involves several steps and requires careful execution. It can be quite lengthy, so allow some time for this task. With practice and patience, you should be able to complete it within the standard two-minute time frame, but it may require multiple attempts.

Initially, navigate towards the back of the level, moving past the big tree located within the Nosegrind Around The Horn challenge. You’ll find a sloped platform there that descends to a quarterpipe; alongside this slope is a machine with a lever. Your goal is to grind next to this machine while operating its lever, which will elevate part of the quarterpipe.

Next, move from the lower part of the quarterpipe up to the upper section, followed by a leap across to a raised halfpipe. Navigating through the halfpipe, you’ll come across train tracks; aim to ride along the right side of these tracks for an extended period. Although it’s a lengthy ride, at the end you’ll spot your reward: the hidden roll of tape.

THPS 3+4 Canada: Iron Galaxy logo location

To acquire the Iron Galaxy emblem more effortlessly, your speed and ollie skills need to be adequately developed. If these attributes are satisfactory, you can simply jump onto the log cabin’s rooftop, then rotate to locate the emblem atop a pole with a wire attached. Utilize the roof as a ramp to propel yourself up towards the wire, grind along it to reach the top and seize the emblem.

If your speed and trick performance aren’t sufficient, you won’t gather enough momentum to reach your destination. Instead, follow the route for the hidden tape, but perform a grind along the left-hand rail this time. This grind is quite lengthy – about three times as long as the secret tape – which means it demands good balance (or enable a cheat mode in the settings), but it will provide you with enough momentum at the end to jump off the rail’s tip and onto the wire heading towards the logo.

THPS 3+4 Canada: Secret deck location

Ultimately, the hidden skateboard deck isn’t difficult to access at all. Located in the initial zone, there’s a prominent half-pipe in front of a hanging Canadian flag. The secret deck is right smack in the middle of that flag, so you can simply jump from the half-pipe to catapult yourself directly onto it.
