Tom Holland Reveals When He Plans To Stop Acting

I was really surprised to read Tom Holland talking about his future! He shared in Men’s Health that he’s thinking about slowing down his acting career when he starts a family. He’s been with Zendaya since 2021, and it sounds like he’s picturing a much more low-key life. He even joked that once he has kids, I probably won’t see him in movies anymore – just playing golf and being a dad! He said he might even completely disappear from public life, which is wild to think about. It’s cool to see him prioritize family, but I’ll definitely miss seeing him on screen!

Zendaya, Tom Holland’s partner, has also talked about how difficult it is to raise children while constantly being in the public eye. In an interview with British Vogue, she said she wants her future family to have a sense of privacy and protection. She wants the freedom to work when needed and then return to a normal, private life without feeling pressured to constantly create content for the public.

The couple, who met while filming the Spider-Man movies, often talk about how helpful it is that they both work in the same industry. Holland jokingly mentioned on the Dish podcast that studios appreciate the convenience – like only needing one hotel room! More seriously, he said having Zendaya’s support on set is a huge relief and that she’s the best thing that’s ever happened to him.

Tom Holland is gearing up for a very busy year. He’ll be starring in Christopher Nolan’s new fantasy film, The Odyssey, which comes out on July 17th. This adaptation of the classic story features Holland as Telemachus, alongside Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, and Zendaya. Just two weeks later, on July 31st, he’ll reprise his role as Spider-Man in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, this fourth solo Spider-Man movie will follow Peter Parker as he investigates a series of strange crimes in New York City, and also stars Jacob Batalon, Sadie Sink, and Jon Bernthal.

Tom Holland is predicted to play a significant role in the upcoming Marvel movie, Avengers: Doomsday, set to release in May. With three major films coming out this summer, Holland is likely to be a huge draw at the box office. Though he’s mentioned potentially stepping back from acting, his busy schedule indicates he won’t be disappearing from the screen anytime soon.
