Tom Hiddleston has shared some clues about his part in the next Avengers movie, giving fans an early idea of what to anticipate from the latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
In an interview with GQ, Tom Hiddleston described his work on the film as significant, praising the story’s core as both brilliant and completely original. He said the plot was unlike anything he’d ever seen before.
The actor has finished filming the movie, continuing the story after the events of the second season of the Loki TV series. In that season, Loki found a new sense of purpose while dealing with the breakdown of the Temporal Loom and the dismantling of the TVA.
Once Loki mastered his power to move through time, he attempted to save the Loom, a device crucial to maintaining the single, Sacred Timeline. However, he ultimately decided the best course of action was to destroy the Loom and instead manage the branching timelines of the multiverse himself. In the end, Loki took his place on a new throne within the Citadel at the End of Time, fully committed to protecting the multiverse as he saw fit.

Avengers: Doomsday will now be released in U.S. theaters on December 18, 2026, with an IMAX version also available. The movie’s release date was moved several times, originally planned for May 2nd, then to May 1st, 2026, partly because of the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike.
The recent postponement was to allow the filmmakers extra time to finish the movie. ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ will be released as part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Fans are excited to see what Loki does next, especially after Hiddleston hinted at a major and unexpected part for the character. It sounds like Loki could be key to how the multiverse develops in future stories, and how he’ll work with the other Avengers.
