As a dedicated follower of Tom Hanks’ career and life, I can’t help but feel a pang of concern every time I hear about incidents like this. It seems that even the most private of sanctuaries, like the Pacific Palisades mansion, are not immune to the grasping hands of burglars.

In recent weeks, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson’s residence in Los Angeles was targeted by burglars. As reported by TMZ, it appears that the intrusion occurred at Hanks’ guest house located on the property.

In full sunlight, the thieves made an attempt to break into the premises, smashing the windows of the guest quarters. At the moment of this event, the well-known pair was away from town.

Despite a broken window triggering an alarm, it seems that the intruders failed in their attempt to enter, as reported by TMZ. However, it’s uncertain if any items from the premises were taken.

 

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are going to create an inventory of all their possessions to figure out what’s gone missing and calculate the replacement costs. So far, no arrests have taken place during this ongoing investigation.
