According to sources, Tom Cruise quickly moved out of his penthouse, leaving staff surprised by how suddenly he left. One insider said the move was unexpected, and especially odd considering how much Cruise had become a part of the local community.
Tom Cruise has been a longtime resident of London, known for his simple pleasures like morning runs in Hyde Park, visits to neighborhood pubs, and helicopter trips to explore the surrounding countryside. According to a source, “Tom loved London and his life there; he’d regularly start his day with a run in Hyde Park.” His recent absence from these familiar activities has left those who know him confused.
Tom Cruise’s decision to move comes after reports of disagreements between him, the Church of Scientology, and people living in East Grinstead. Late in 2025, the Church hosted lavish events at Saint Hill Manor, which reportedly led to traffic problems and noise complaints. Residents also said Cruise’s helicopter was flown too low, causing disturbance to both people and animals in the surrounding area.
It’s not certain if this is a permanent change, but Tom Cruise maintains strong working relationships in the UK. With continuing projects alongside Christopher McQuarrie and a long-term agreement with Warner Bros., he’ll likely continue to film in Britain for years to come.
