Timothée Chalamet caused a buzz online when he shared a casual Instagram photo of himself wearing a vintage T-shirt from The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.
The shirt had a picture of Jacob Black, the character Taylor Lautner played as a werewolf in the famous vampire movies. People immediately recognized the old-school design and started posting the picture online.
People online were amused by the difference between the actor’s dramatic roles and the casual t-shirt he was wearing. One commenter pointed out how surprising it was to see the star of a huge sci-fi series wearing a shirt featuring a character from another popular franchise.
The actor received the mail while already juggling a lot of work. He had just finished filming “Marty Supreme,” a movie directed by Josh Safdie, where he portrayed table tennis legend Marty Reisman. The film also features Gwyneth Paltrow and Tyler, the Creator, and his performance is already getting award buzz, including a nomination from the Critics’ Choice Awards.
Before this current project, he played Bob Dylan in the James Mangold-directed film, A Complete Unknown. He’s now getting ready to star in Dune: Part Three, which is based on the novel Dune Messiah. This new movie will continue Paul Atreides’ story and is currently slated for release in late 2026.
The popular T-shirt sighting showed fans that even famous actors appreciate and connect with nostalgic pop culture. It also gave a relaxed and informal glimpse of the actor before they start heavily promoting their next project.
