Timothée Chalamet Performs Three Bob Dylan Tracks, Surprising Even Die Hards of Lay Lady Lay Artist on SNL

Following his unexpected performance in Bob Dylan’s latest release, A Complete Unknown, Timothée Chalamet yet again left audiences stunned by gracing the stage on Saturday Night Live.

The actor who starred in Call Me By Your Name delivered a memorable performance on a critically-adored show that’s likely to be talked about for many years. While hosting the latest episode of Saturday Night Live, Timothée Chalamet shared, “You might not recognize the Bob Dylan songs I’m singing, but they happen to be my top picks.

Continuing his conversation with the audience, the actor from Dune: Part Two expressed his gratitude that Saturday Night Live continues to air “unusual content” like this, even after 50 years. He playfully speculated whether the show was either exceptionally gracious for allowing him to do this or extremely mischievous and this entire experience is a big joke.

Additionally, I had the privilege of sharing the stage with renowned musician and songwriter, James Blake, who gracefully handled the keyboard duties during our shows.

To start off, Timothée Chalamet (wearing sunglasses) kicked off with Outlaw Blues, a number from his extensive medley. Three Angels followed as the next tune. These songs, well-known among dedicated Bob Dylan fans, left everyone in awe during the performance. Subsequently, Chalamet switched to an acoustic setup. To conclude the event, Timothée Chalamet serenaded the audience with Tomorrow is a Long Time, a track that Dylan originally performed live and demoed back in 1962 but wasn’t released until the 70s.

The actor had his own tone to the tracks he displayed during his stint on Saturday Night Live.

In his latest appearance, Timothée Chalamet was spotted in James Mangold’s production, sharing screen time with Monica Barbaro portraying Joan Baez. Additionally, Edward Norton joined the cast as Pete Seeger, while Elle Fanning took on the role of Sylvie Russo.
