Timothée Chalamet, the actor, was recently a guest on the first episode of “Believe That Awards,” a new YouTube show hosted by Minnesota Timberwolves basketball player Anthony Edwards.
In a playful moment, Timothée Chalamet received the inaugural “White Boy of the Year” award, which had him laughing throughout the ceremony.
Edwards attempted to mention Liam Neeson at the close of the interview, but accidentally mispronounced his name, which created a lighthearted moment.
During a recent conversation, Timothée Chalamet discussed his career and revealed he’s particularly proud of his upcoming film, *Marty Supreme*. He described it as the best project he’s ever been a part of, according to the Edwards show.
Marty Supreme is a funny and heartfelt movie set in 1950s New York City. It tells the story of Marty Mauser, a talented table tennis player, as he strives for success. Directed and produced by Josh Safdie, and co-written with Ronald Bronstein, the film is based on the life of real table tennis champion Marty Reisman. Timothée Chalamet stars in the movie and also helped produce it.
Let me tell you, this movie isn’t just carried by its leads! The supporting cast is seriously impressive – we’re talking Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, even Kevin O’Leary! And that’s just the start. You’ll also spot Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher. They really packed it with cameos too, including Penn Jillette and Sandra Bernhard, plus a ton of other recognizable faces from the worlds of sports and entertainment. It’s fun just spotting everyone!
The movie *Marty Supreme* had its first public showing at a special event during the 2025 New York Film Festival on October 6th. It will be released in U.S. cinemas on December 25th, distributed by A24. In Finland, Norway, Denmark, and Sweden, Nordisk Film will be responsible for bringing the film to audiences.
Timothée Chalamet is clearly passionate about this project, and audiences are in for a treat seeing him play a role he deeply cares about. The film combines the energy of a sports story with a historical setting and promises to be both captivating and different.
