As a die-hard Timothée Chalamet fanatic, I can’t contain my excitement! Seeing my beloved heartthrob grace Lower Manhattan’s Washington Square Park was like stumbling upon a Potterverse portal—pure magic! The lookalike contest was the cherry on top of an already enchanting Sunday.
On Sunday, October 27, Timothée Chalamet unexpectedly showed up at a doppelganger contest in Lower Manhattan’s Washington Square Park. Unfortunately, the bustling event had to be broken up by the authorities because there was no permit issued for holding such an assembly.
With a group of security guards nearby, the genuine Timothée Chalamet struck poses alongside his look-alikes, some who were dressed up as his characters from Willy Wonka and Dune films. The moment the star stepped into the fan convention was recorded and shared on X by multiple attendees, with clips showing him waving, interacting with fans, and taking pictures while making his way through the throng.
After the New York Police Department attended a costume gathering, NBC announced that at least one individual was taken into custody, and multiple others received citations. In a video obtained by AP, officers could be heard using sirens and broadcasting through a loudspeaker, “Everyone will receive a citation,” to encourage the crowd to leave.
In spite of the police being present, participants persisted in hosting the competition. Lookalikes of Timothée Chalamet took the improvised stage to discuss their hypothetical romantic intentions towards Kylie Jenner and display their French language skills. The event, reminiscent of a pageant, included questions like ‘What steps would you take to improve the world?’ and even offered a $50 prize for the winner.
In time, it was Miles Mitchell, a Staten Island resident and university senior, who emerged victorious at the gathering. Decked out in a purple ensemble reminiscent of Willy Wonka, he entertained enthusiastic spectators by dispensing sweets from his case.
At the moment, Timothée Chalamet is busy working on a sports drama called Marty Supreme in New York City. This movie is an American production directed by Josh Safdie, and it also stars Gwyneth Paltrow, Tyler the Creator, Odessa A’zion, Abel Ferrara, Fran Drescher, Kevin O’Leary, and Penn Jillette.
