Tia Mowry was taken aback by Beyoncé’s unexpected tribute during the Renaissance Tour! The actress from Sister, Sister made an appearance at the Overjoyed launch event in Los Angeles on February 20th. In conversation with People magazine, she reminisced about a memorable moment from the 2023 tour that remains vivid in her mind.
During a performance on her Renaissance Tour, Beyoncé (referred to as Queen B), paid homage to Tia Mowry and her twin sister Tamera by incorporating a brief segment of their 1992 hit “Yeah, Yeah, Yeah” into her song “1+1”. This tribute was carried out after Tia was spotted in the crowd at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on September 4, 2023.
As I stood there, completely taken aback, I couldn’t believe what was unfolding before my eyes. It wasn’t until someone gently prodded me that I realized the heartfelt tribute was being paid in my direction. In truth, I had been blissfully unaware of the situation until that moment of enlightenment on stage.
After seeing the tribute for the 35-time Grammy winner online later on, Tia was left speechless. “She’s incredible! That’s so awesome. I’m definitely a fan,” she exclaimed with enthusiasm. Despite having missed the opportunity to acknowledge the artist during her live performance, Tia made use of Instagram to convey her heartfelt appreciation instead.
In the title, the Twitches star wrote about her initial encounter with Beyoncé, which took place while they were both members of the popular girl band Destiny’s Child, alongside Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
Simultaneously, Tia was also a member of another band known as Voices alongside her twin sister. In her heartfelt message, she openly acknowledged being moved by Beyoncé’s kind act. Furthermore, she extolled the Single Ladies sensation, referring to her as an enduring icon who consistently motivates others through her remarkable talent, unwavering dedication, humility, and radiant spirit.
