As a long-time Marvel fan and avid gamer, I’m beyond excited about the upcoming Thunderbolts movie! The San Diego Comic-Con 2024 reveal and teaser trailer have only fueled my anticipation for this new adventure in the MCU.
At San Diego Comic-Con 2024, I was part of the excited crowd as Marvel Studios unveiled a sneak peek of the upcoming “Thunderbolts” movie. We were treated to an exclusive first look at the film’s teaser trailer. This new Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) production introduces us to a fresh team of anti-heroes, promising a quirky and entertaining journey with characters who aren’t always on the right side of the law.
As a gamer, I’m excited about the latest teaser for the Thunderbolts, which promises a fresh tone for Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movies. With Deadpool and Wolverine having set the bar high with their unique experiences, it’s natural to expect something new in this post-X-Men era. I, for one, am looking forward to embracing this new chapter of Marvel chaos.
In an engaging twist, the trailer zeroes in on Yelena, played by Florence Pugh, who unexpectedly shows up at Alexei’s, or the Red Guardian’s, doorstep. He hastily tidies up before inviting her into his cluttered residence. Curious, Alexei asks why she’s come, and Yelena confesses she feels hollow inside, unable to find solace in work following Natasha’s demise. Flashbacks reveal Yelena assassinating various individuals, showcasing her struggle. The scene then shifts back to the Winter Soldier, portrayed by Sebastian Stan, with longer hair, before cutting back to Yelena, who engages in fierce battles against US Agent and Ghost.
The group keeps engaging in harmful actions. Later on, Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (portrayed by Julia Louis-Dreyfus) joins them, stating that there are no good or bad people in their world, only individuals with varying degrees of wrongdoing. As evidence, we witness a series of intense scenes and an image of Bucky’s arm being cleaned in a dishwasher. Valentina goes on to lead this new team, the Thunderbolts, who clearly represent the less savory side of the Avengers.
Well, we didn’t see that one coming. The full title of the Thunderbolts* is Thunderbolts*
Thunderbolts* will release on May 2, 2025.
