‘Thunderbolts*’ Trailer Offers a First Look at Sentry’s Watchtower

As a seasoned gamer and comic book enthusiast who’s spent countless hours immersed in the rich tapestry of Marvel lore, I must say that the latest ‘Thunderbolts’ trailer has sent my heart racing! The potential introduction of Sentry into the MCU is beyond exciting, especially given the intriguing theory suggesting he might be a manufactured superhero.

The trailer for ‘Thunderbolts’ has just been unveiled. Although sneak peeks and brief clips have been shared since it was first shown at the D23 event, we now get a more definite idea about the hints and characters that will appear in the movie.

In the upcoming movie titled ‘Thunderbolts’, we’ll witness the entry of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s equivalent of the Suicide Squad, along with a character renowned for his immense power from the Marvel Comics universe – Sentry.

Lately, we’ve been delving into an engaging hypothesis that implies Sentry could be a synthetic superhero within the MCU. This concept originates from the “design plans” noticeable in one of the trailer sequences.

As a devoted fan, I’ve noticed that if you take a closer look, there are numerous ways to personalize Sentry’s hairstyle and belt buckle when the movie comes out! There might be additional customization options hidden in the film that we didn’t catch in the trailer.

Additionally, the trailer unveiled “The Watchtower” blueprints for us, a name that strongly hints at the comic’s Sentry’s Watchtower.

The Watchtower functioned both as Sentry’s residence and command center, situated in the heart of Manhattan, close to Columbus Circle. This towering building was adorned with a massive golden orb at its peak and had black diagonal beams intersecting it.

A digital entity known as CLOC was in charge of the Watchtower, monitoring worldwide communications and signaling Sentry for critical situations or emergencies on a global scale.

In a fateful battle against his ultimate rival, the General, Sentry found himself defeated. To escape memory, he employed his unique abilities to cause the people of Earth to forget about him, leading the Watchtower to become neglected and essentially vanish from sight for several decades.

In the end, Tony Stark opted to build a fresh skyscraper without realizing it was the site of the Watchtower. As a result, the Watchtower became part of Stark Tower, going unnoticed because of Sentry’s abilities. At first, Stark Tower served as home to the New Avengers, who later brought in Sentry. Upon removing his mental barriers, the Watchtower resurfaced, shocking many residents in Manhattan.

All clues suggest that Sentry’s Watchtower will be created from the former Avengers Tower.

In Spider-Man: Homecoming, it was unveiled that Tony Stark had intentions to sell the Avengers Tower. During this time, Happy Hogan oversaw the transfer of the tower’s equipment, but simultaneously, the Vulture aimed to pilfer it.

In “Spider-Man: Far From Home”, the movie shows a building going through some changes or updates. On the other hand, in the trailer for “Thunderbolts”, it appears as though the Avengers Tower in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has undergone renovations and is now the gathering place for a new team. Given that this new team answers to Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, many fans have speculated that she was the one who purchased the tower.

In the community, there’s been quite a buzz about who purchased the Avengers Tower. Now, with a potential clue, we might be able to predict what could happen next, provided our hypothesis that the Watchtower will replace the Avengers Tower holds true.
