Thunderbolts Surpasses $325M at Box Office Despite Challenges

Marvel’s “Thunderbolts,” previously known as the “New Avengers,” has surpassed a whopping $325 million at the global box office, with an impressive $155 million earned within the U.S. alone.

The flick brought in $16,536,000 in its third weekend, only a 48.9% drop.

In the daily box office reports, Thunderbolts consistently outperforms Captain America: Brave New World.

In approximately the same 17-day period, Cap 4 reached a total of $163,547,486. If Thunderbolts maintains its current performance (it didn’t start as strong as Cap 4, but has shown stronger longevity), it might surpass these results. The third weekend for Cap 4 yielded earnings of $14.85M.

In other words, it’s reported that the Thunderbolts require an additional $125 million in order to reach their break-even point, which is approximately $450 million.

Cap 4 only brought in another $40M domestically following its first seventeen days.

If Thunderbolts delivers results comparable to or slightly superior to its competitors, it might not guarantee that the movie will become a hit at the box office.

Additionally, Cap 4 generated approximately $214.6 million from international sales, while Thunderbolts stands at around $170.3 million in earnings so far. Here’s a breakdown of the figures:

– Cap 4: $214.6 million
– Thunderbolts: $170.3 million
