In the midst of Blake Lively’s legal dispute with her colleague Justin Baldoni, Amy Schumer’s talent for humor became problematic! As Lively pursues justice against Baldoni for alleged sexual harassment and plotting to tarnish her image, a funny skit by Schumer re-emerged.
As a dedicated follower of my craft, I’ve noticed that during press engagements, actresses like myself are frequently required to go beyond just discussing our projects. We’re expected to present ourselves in a polished manner, connect with the audience on a personal level, and even share amusing tales. It’s all part of the job, but it can be quite challenging at times!
In her comedy series Inside Amy Schumer, she playfully imitated the well-known talk show persona of The It Ends With Us actress by creating a parody sketch featuring an Amy Lake Blively character who mimicked Lively’s interview style.
In a playful critique, Schumer satirized the Green Lantern actress for donning form-fitting gowns, responding with laughter at predictable moments, and sharing seemingly insignificant anecdotes during media interviews. The skit additionally showcased Bill Hader as the provocative interviewer “Cliffley,” who repeatedly made inappropriate and discriminatory comments.
Amazed by her appearance, he exclaims to Schumer, “Wow, Amy, you’re absolutely beautiful!” This revelation makes her admit that she has a small crush on the host. In response, he hastily contacts his wife and declares, “It’s finished!” He removes his engagement ring and continues to flirt with the actress, causing her to blush.
On the satirical late-night program known as “Cliffley Lately,” the humorist made an appearance to publicize her upcoming adaptation of Blade Runner, a Baz Luhrmann-directed musical version of the movie.
