Three Weeks In, Elden Ring Nightreign Players Are Inventing Some Creative Ways to Skip Around the Map

Approximately three weeks ago, on May 30th, Elden Ring Nightreign was released, and now gamers have become acquainted with the various tools and powers at their disposal in the realm of Limveld. However, some players are using these abilities in intriguing ways.

This morning, one of the most popular posts on the r/Nightreign subreddit came from user u/Quantam-Law, who was known as “BRO…” while playing with a character named Raider. BRO had an innovative strategy: instead of attacking the city’s main gate during the Noklateo Shifting Earth event for the Nightfarers trio, he activated Raider’s ultimate ability to create a new entry point.

Noklateo and similar geographical transformations are spontaneous changes to the map that introduce fresh encounters and unexplored territories. Although employing Totem Stela for this purpose is effective, it also stimulates ideas about how else the large artifact might be utilized to surmount or circumvent strategically placed barriers in various locations.

In response to Raider’s tactics, it’s worth noting that u/Mockz has also shared a strategy on the Elden Ring Nightreign subreddit, specifically for the Crater Shifting Earth event. This time, Mockz demonstrates their skills and cleverly employs gravity to navigate effectively, reaching the bottom of the Crater.

User u/ninjabladeJr shared an impressive, yet tricky and potentially risky, shortcut to the bottom of the Crater that they’ve discovered. This Crater skip certainly carries danger. But isn’t it thrilling to witness someone effortlessly bypass numerous encounters in the dungeon and head straight for the final boss, the coveted goal and reward of the Shifting Earth event? Definitely!

Wow, it’s incredible to see people discovering creative routes to reach the summit at Mountaintop event in Skyrim, by leaping up the cliff faces as if they were agile mountain goats. The shifting terrain events during Nightreign’s building process are a thrilling and intriguing aspect, and it’s astounding how players are already devising more efficient and intelligent ways to traverse them.

The effectiveness of these techniques is uncertain. Using the Noklateo totem-skip might work in a casual setting like a random lobby, but attempting the spectral hawk Crater skip in a room with two uninformed players could lead to multiple or even more than two players being eliminated (Nightfarers down).

It’s exciting to notice how players are coming up with innovative ways to utilize their skills in Elden Ring: Nightreign, and this creative exploration is a promising sign for its longevity. At the moment, the speedrun leaderboards haven’t been launched yet, but the shortcuts discovered by the community have piqued my curiosity about what speedrunners will demonstrate when they start competing in Elden Ring: Nightreign.

You’ll find a wealth of Nightreign strategies and shortcuts to assist you in defeating all eight Nightlord Bosses.
