Thrash Metal Legends Metallica Donate $500K To LA Wildfire Relief Efforts; READ

Metallica, one of the four major American thrash metal groups, is stepping up to aid those significantly impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires. According to recent news, the band behind the popular song “Enter Sandman” plans to contribute generously through their foundation.

According to reports, it’s been indicated that Metallica plans to give away half a million dollars via their All Within My Hands Foundation, aimed at assisting in disaster relief and recovery initiatives.

According to the official website of All Within My Hands (AWMH) Foundation, the band is planning to contribute $250,000 to the California Community Foundation (CCF), while the artist from the album “…And Justice for All” will be donating an additional $250,000 to the Pasadena Community Foundation (PCF).

According to Lambgoat, the donated funds will be channeled directly towards the wildfire recovery efforts of the two mentioned organizations. The band is not only generating their own funds but also encouraging their fans to contribute to both the California Community Foundation (CCF) and the Pacific Coastal Fund (PCF).

Providing a recent update, AWMH noted on their website that the fires burning in the Los Angeles region have persistently caused havoc and extensive damage since January 7. Regrettably, these fires seem to be unabating. Although progress has been made in containing the fires over the weekend, authorities advise residents to remain cautious.

For those unaware, while Metallica often identifies San Francisco as their home, the band that created the song “For Whom The Bell Tolls” actually originated in Los Angeles.

I’ve always been captivated by the fact that my musical heroes, the legendary James Hetfield, who masterfully plays rhythm guitar and leads the band, hails from Downey, a part of Los Angeles. And guess what? Our current bassist, Robert Trujillo, was also born in Santa Monica, another part of this great city! It’s almost like fate brought us all together.
