THQ Nordic finished their 2025 digital event, and it was filled with exciting news, including some unexpected titles from series that seemed long forgotten. Here’s a rundown of our favorite highlights from the event, featuring the games we can’t wait to try out!

Darksiders 4

The most unexpected moment at the exhibition was the quick glimpse of Darksiders 4. Although it had been hinted that a new installment of the series was on its way, it’s still astonishing to learn that this is a mainline sequel since the last one, Darksiders Genesis, came out in 2019. The teaser didn’t reveal much, but it seems that all Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse might be involved in some capacity, as they each took on individual roles in the previous games.

The specific launch date hasn’t been announced yet, but you can look forward to playing it on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. If you’d like to be notified when it becomes available, you can add it to your wishlist right now.

SpongeBob SquarePants – Titans of the Tide

The upcoming original SpongeBob game is set to deliver more thrilling 3D action-adventure, as it takes us into a storyline where King Neptune and The Flying Dutchman’s feud jeopardizes Bikini Bottom. It’s once again on our beloved sponge and starfish to come to the rescue! Unlike past games, this time you can effortlessly switch between SpongeBob and Patrick, creating a more seamless puzzle-platforming journey.

SpongeBob SquarePants – Titans of the Tide is set to release on November 18, 2025

Gothic Remake

The updated version of the iconic 2001 PC role-playing game seems to be progressing splendidly. The graphics are the most noticeable improvement as it’s been moved into Unreal Engine 5, making it look better than ever before. However, some of the quirks from the early 2000s can still be seen, primarily in the animations, which appear to have been directly transferred onto UE5 models. Nevertheless, these issues might be resolved by the time the game is released, and some argue that it’s a delightful throwback to the original’s unique atmosphere. Regardless, this promises an excellent chance for new players to discover a fantastic, yet somewhat overlooked, RPG.

Gothic Remake is set for an early 2026 release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

The Guild: Europa 1410

The Guild has returned once more, following the less-than-satisfactory launch of The Guild 3 in 2022. However, this latest installment seems quite intriguing. In this series, you’ll navigate the ruthless medieval landscape of 15th-century Europe, starting as a humble peasant peddling goods, and eventually aiming to rise through the ranks and establish yourself as a powerful noble within your nation, potentially founding a dynasty that endures for centuries.

The Guild: Europa 1410 is available to wishlist now on PC.

Tides of Tomorrow

Among the exciting games upcoming is Tides of Tomorrow, a new title by the creators of Road 96, the game known for its procedurally generated road trips. This upcoming game takes the idea a step further, allowing you to traverse the same route as other players in this submerged world. Yet, unlike those you follow, your choices won’t be the same at crucial junctures; instead, you’ll have the opportunity to diverge the storyline in various ways, veering from one path to another and witnessing the repercussions play out. It’s a daring concept, but its initial glimpses are captivating.

Tides of Tomorrow releases on PC on February 24, 2026.

Fatekeeper

Fatekeeper, the latest original IP, is set to follow in the footsteps of games like Avowed and Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon this year, as a fresh attempt at the first-person fantasy gameplay style similar to Elder Scrolls, but with a linear design rather than their open-world approach. From the brief glimpses we’ve had, it looks promising, suggesting depth in combat mechanics and complexity in level design, making it definitely worth keeping an eye on.

No hint of a release date for this one, but you can wishlist it now on Steam.
