THIS Riverdale Star Has Been Roped in to Portray the Role Of Bradley Nowell in His Upcoming Biopic; Deets Here

As a dedicated follower of Hollywood news, I must say that I am truly thrilled about KJ Apa taking on the role of Bradley Nowell in the upcoming biopic. With his impressive acting resume, particularly his memorable portrayal of Archie in Riverdale and his roles in movies like The Last Summer and The Hate U Give, I have no doubt that he will deliver a compelling performance as the late singer.


Actor KJ Apa from Riverdale is ready to take on the role of the late musician Bradley Nowell in an upcoming biopic, which will be helmed by director Justin Cho. The film, yet to be titled, is slated for release under Sony 3000 Pictures. At present, the script is being meticulously crafted by the director to ensure it meets all expectations.

Beyond just Sony Pictures, production of the movie will also involve Chenin Entertainment, represented by Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping, and David Ready, as well as Troy Nowell and Jakob Nowell from the estate of Bradley Nowell.

Initially, Francis Lawrence had been planned to direct the movie, but he had to withdraw due to scheduling issues. Later, Cho took over as the director of the film.

So far, only a limited amount of information about the film has been revealed, but it’s still one of the highly anticipated movies in Hollywood. Tragically, the renowned singer Bradley Nowell died at the age of 28 due to a drug overdose. He was famous for songs like What I Got and Santeria.

Born and raised in Australia, KJ Apa is primarily recognized for portraying Archie in the popular Netflix show Riverdale. Beyond this TV role, he’s also showcased his acting talents in films such as The Songbird, The Last Summer, and The Hate U Give.

Regarding the upcoming movie, the actor is set to star as the main character in a fresh romantic comedy titled “Falling.” Production on this film is almost completed at the moment. Interestingly, you might recognize him from his performance in last year’s film, “I Still Believe.

As for the director, Justin Cho is known for his work in the 2021 movie Blue Bayou, wherein he also starred opposite Alicia Vikander. Cho also directed the series Pachinko.
