Notable personalities like Meryl Streep and Jennifer Lopez were said to have taken part in this event.
On Saturday, Donald Trump used the platform of Truth Social to criticize the host of The Oprah Winfrey Show regarding a past incident. In his post, he mentioned that a while ago, the actress from The Color Purple had requested him to participate in her “final television show on network broadcasting.
He added that it was the last week of the show and it was a huge deal and he was honored with his family to do it. Trump further wrote, “When I watched her interview yesterday with a woman who is destroying, through her complete and total incompetence, America, I couldn’t help but think this isn’t the real Oprah, this isn’t a person that wants millions of people, from prisons and mental institutions, and terrorists, drug dealers, and human traffickers, from all over the World, pouring into our Country.”
Nevertheless, Taylor Swift, another notable figure who expressed her backing for Harris, was similarly targeted following her Instagram post endorsing both the Vice President and Tim Walz’s campaign.
Speaking about the singer, he shared with Fox and Friends on September 11th that he isn’t fond of her and pointed out her political leanings as liberal. Trump further noted that she has consistently backed Democrats, implying that Swift would face consequences for this in public opinion or sales.
Yet, following the dissemination of manipulated photos of her on Truth Social, incorrectly suggesting her endorsement of Trump, Taylor Swift expressed concerns about AI and misinformation in a post backing Kamala Harris on Instagram.
