As a passionate fan of the magical world of Tim Burton, I can hardly contain my excitement for the upcoming “Beetlejuice 2”! With each passing day, the anticipation grows stronger, especially after hearing Jenna Ortega’s electrifying encounter with the legendary Michael Keaton on The Tonight Show.
As the release of Beetlejuice starring Jenna Ortega and Michael Keaton approaches, fans are bursting with anticipation. Lately, Jenna appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and shared some behind-the-scenes stories about Beetlejuice 2, one of the highly anticipated movies of 2024. She confessed that she was startled when she first encountered her esteemed co-star Michael Keaton in his iconic Beetlejuice costume.
While talking about meeting Michael Keaton for the first time on the sets of Beetlejuice, the 21-year-old actor revealed:
“He sneaked up from behind while I was undergoing a hair and makeup trial; he gave me a gentle tap on the shoulder, which startled me. Upon turning around, it turned out to be nothing more than a jump scare. He introduced himself as Michael, but his face had mold growing on it, making me act nonchalant. The encounter was fine until I ran into him again outside of hair and makeup, as I had forgotten that we had already met.”
The actress from Fallout revealed that she managed to remain collected during her first encounter with Keaton, but the situation became a bit awkward when they crossed paths again, outside the hair and makeup area. She confessed, “I reintroduced myself because I’d forgotten we had already been introduced.” Fallon quipped, “You didn’t meet Michael Keaton; you met Beetlejuice.” (paraphrased version)
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I’d have to say that sharing the screen with the incredibly cool and talented Michael Keaton has been an absolute dream come true for me. In my wildest imaginations, I never thought this day would arrive!
In a recent conversation with Collider, Winona Ryder discussed Beetlejuice 2, highlighting her co-star Michael Keaton. She emphasized that Jenna Ortega, who played a pivotal role in Insidious 2, was instrumental in the sequel’s realization. When asked about the bond between Astrid and Lydia, Ryder, at 52 years old, spoke about it.
“Jenna is undeniably one of the people I hold dear. She’s incredibly authentic, a quality that’s rare these days. From our very first encounter, there was an immediate bond, and our conversation seemed to last forever. More often than not, I seek her wisdom. [Laughs] In all honesty, I believe the movie had to be flawless because we talked about it for so long, and it felt as though we were waiting for her to come into being and mature.” She added:
“You can understand where I’m coming from. She fits in perfectly, almost as if she completes the puzzle. I’m at a loss for words to describe her. She’s simply an extraordinary person to collaborate with and to know. To know her is to adore her wholeheartedly. Working with Catherine [O’Hara] after my relationship with Astrid has given me such compassion for her. It was truly a wonderful experience, almost like a dream.”
The movie “Beetlejuice” is set to premiere in cinemas on September 6th, 2024, marking a significant milestone of over 36 years since its first release, which took place on March 30th, 1988.
As a die-hard fanboy, let me share my excitement about the stellar lineup in Tim Burton’s masterpiece, Beetlejuice! The unforgettable crew includes Michael Keaton, Willem Dafoe, Catherine O’Hara, Monica Bellucci, and Jenna Ortega. This cinematic delight has garnered an IMDb rating of 7.5 out of 10 and can be easily accessed for streaming on Prime Video!
