Many fans enjoy expressing their love for fictional worlds through things like merchandise, collectibles, and even subtle costumes. But some truly dedicated fans take it to the next level, using their creativity and resources to recreate those worlds in real life. Interior designer and content creator Julie Sousa recently gained attention for transforming her living room into an incredible replica of Hawkins from Stranger Things.
She recently posted a beautiful photo on Instagram, and it’s easy to see why it’s getting so much attention! The picture features a warm and inviting space filled with storm clouds, bright neon lights, and the glow of Christmas lights. You can see the images directly from her page below.
In a recent interview with People Magazine, Sousa explained how she created a *Stranger Thingsthemed room for under $300 in just about three days. She joked that it took the characters Joyce and Hopper longer to find Will in the show’s Upside Down!
I’m so inspired by Stranger Things that I’m definitely going to create my own themed room before Volume 2 comes out on Christmas Day! It’s giving me all the creative energy I need.
