Marvel Studios left viewers in awe when they ventured into television production with WandaVision and followed up that success with Agatha All Along. But for those eagerly anticipating a second season of these shows, one of the cast members brings disappointing news.
Patti LuPone, known for her portrayal of Lilia Calderu in the Disney+ series, has shared insights on the potential storylines involving the various witches that accompanied Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness in future episodes.
In conversation with TheWrap, the Tony Award-winning actress shared insights about her Marvel Studios character. Meanwhile, during her chat with the series creator, Jac Schaeffer, the School for Good and Evil actress disclosed some details.
According to Comicbook, Patti LuPone shared that Schaeffer indicated that, similar to WandaVision, the character Agatha All Along was initially designed as a standalone feature.
In the past, LuPone reminisced about Schaeffer walking into her trailer and saying, “Patti, I’m only here to inform you that Lilia is going to perish,” to which LuPone responded, “But I was hoping for a second season.” Schaeffer then replied, “I don’t do second seasons.
The actress additionally disclosed that Jac Schaeffer had been invited to pen a second installment of the show featuring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, yet the author declined to compose it.
The actress from “Life Goes On” mentioned that she occasionally works on individual projects, and I sincerely hope and wish for the opportunity to collaborate with her again in the future as she’s truly exceptional.
In this series, Patti LuPone portrayed Lilia Calderu, a divination witch, alongside Joe Locke, who took on the role of Wiccan. Additionally, Sasheer Zamata played Jennifer Kale, Ali Ahn was Alice Wu-Gulliver, and other talented actors joined the cast as well.
In the series, Aubrey Plaza appeared as the character Rio, another well-known figure. Following the success of WandaVision, Agatha All Along was created as a spinoff series.
