Third DLC to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will tell the story of „curing medieval Covid.” It’s end of Henry’s amorous adventures

The saga of Henry from Skalitz will conclude with the final DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, titled Mysteria Ecclesiae. During a discussion with PCGamesN, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling from Warhorse Studios delved into the narrative focusing on the Sedletz Monastery. Additionally, the community manager provided insights on the studio’s upcoming plans. In Mysteria Ecclesiae, we will explore the “medieval response to a pandemic” rather than directly dealing with a medieval version of COVID-19.

In the latest DLC for KCD2, I’ll be delving into a spot that we only got a quick peek of in the main game – the monastery. This time around, I’ll be teaming up with the monks to battle a deadly plague, and unlike my adventure during the Needle in a Haystack quest, I’ll have more freedom to explore this mysterious location at will.

As a gamer, I’m excitedly anticipating that this game will delve deeply into medicine, ailments, and alchemy, in essence, having me act as a medieval virus healer – or so the team has jokingly suggested. Yet, there seems to be a mystery at play, one that requires cooperation with these monks. Fortunately, unlike my previous escapades where I was confined within the monastery walls, this time, I’m free to roam around freely. Tobias Stolz-Zwilling shared that this new adventure promises to be quite intriguing!

At the close of this year, we can anticipate the launch of Mysteria Ecclesiae. As per the announcement, it is expected to be on a scale similar to the Legacy of the Forge expansion pack. GameStar.de has revealed that neither of these DLCs will feature any new romantic options.

As a dedicated gamer, I can tell you that Warhorse Studios is right at home with immersive RPGs – it’s their preferred genre of choice, whether future games are set in space or underwater. The expansive tale of Henry in Mysteria Ecclesiae may have reached its conclusion, but according to Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, it doesn’t mean we’ve seen the last of this captivating series.

The game titled KCD2 was launched on February 4th of this year for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S. Starting from May 15th, players will also have the opportunity to experience the Brushes with Death DLC.
