These A-List Celebrities Are Actually Connected to Royalty

Have you been following the news about Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal? Everyone’s discussing something that isn’t related to their work in films.

I was reading some interesting stuff online today – apparently, a lot of genealogists are suggesting these two famous siblings might actually have royal blood! It’s wild to think they could be connected to the British royal family, but the research seems to be pointing that way.

According to family history, actors Jake and Maggie Gyllenhaal might be very distant relatives of the late Queen Elizabeth II – possibly 19th cousins. The connection reportedly traces back over 600 years to King Edward III, who ruled England from 1327 to 1377. Because King Edward III had a large family, his descendants are now spread throughout Europe, potentially making the Gyllenhaals related to King Charles III and Prince William as well.

Despite having royal ancestry, the Gyllenhaal siblings were raised in Los Angeles and became famous through Hollywood, not through any royal court. Their father, Stephen Gyllenhaal, does come from a noble Swedish family. His father, Anders Leonard Gyllenhaal, was a journalist, and some researchers believe he’s a descendant of an old English king.

Although currently unconfirmed, reports of a royal connection are causing people to see the Gyllenhaal family in a new light. It’s surprising to consider that two prominent actors could be related to such a well-known royal family.
