There’s a Good Chance We Will see Tom Holland’s Spider-Man with a Symbiote Fight RDJ’s Dr. Doom

As a die-hard MCU fan with over two decades of comic book knowledge under my belt, I must say that the speculations surrounding Tom Holland’s Spider-Man are nothing short of exhilarating! The idea of him merging with a Symbiote and facing off against Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom in the upcoming Avengers movies is nothing if not intriguing.

The character of Spider-Man has a complex backstory among all Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) superheroes because it’s Sony, not Marvel Studios, that owns the rights to him. However, when Tom Holland took on the role, Sony and Marvel collaborated to produce three films with the young actor, who ultimately became a significant figure within the MCU.

Despite the events of “No Way Home”, it’s uncertain what lies ahead for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. He will indeed continue in future films, yet we’re left wondering how Marvel Studios plans to weave his narrative in “Spider-Man 4” and how they’ll seamlessly integrate him into the upcoming movies like “Doomsday” and “Secret Wars”.

Considering all the buzz and whispers circulating, we’ve come up with another intriguing theory for you. This theory is inspired by the “Secret Wars” comic book series, and it hints at a potential future where Tom Holland’s Spider-Man might bond with a Symbiote (perhaps becoming Venom) and face off against Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom in the upcoming Avengers films.

Our theory is primarily derived from various clues we’ve noticed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU) films, as well as the “Secret Wars” comic book series. This last point will likely be a significant reference for the movie’s writers. In essence, based on what we saw in ‘No Way Home’, Tom Holland’s actions in the Multiverse brought all three Spider-Men together. Additionally, Eddie Brock briefly appeared and was sent back to his own universe, but a piece of the Symbiote remained behind. Since Brock is from a universe where Spider-Man hadn’t been introduced yet, Tom Hardy’s portrayal of Eddie Brock/Venom could potentially shape the storyline moving forward.

Currently, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) doesn’t seem to recall Peter Parker, and it’s intriguing to think about how his character might fit into future MCU films. While Tom Holland’s Spider-Man could potentially play a significant role due to his connection with Tony Stark, this is contingent on whether the MCU acknowledges the meta fact that Robert Downey Jr. portrays both characters in the same fictional universe. If they do acknowledge it, it would provide exciting opportunities for Tom Holland; however, if not, it will be fascinating to see how they handle it instead.

Despite this, given the introduction of a Venom fragment in the MCU and the shift towards Battleworld for the Secret Wars storyline, it’s quite likely that Tom Holland will don his own black suit, similar to how Tobey Maguire did, but under entirely different conditions.

To put it simply, you might not be aware, but the characters known as Symbiotes were initially featured in the comics during “Secret Wars.” This was quite significant at the time. Although the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and Sony’s Spider-Man Universe (SSU) both have Venoms, this won’t follow the same path for introduction. However, it’s likely that the writers will take inspiration from the comic book storyline and possibly let Tom Holland’s Spider-Man wear a black suit and battle Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom in future stories.
